back in the usual world with access to the meshmass laptop we have prised from their resting places various pieces including this stately yet fluttering adventure. alto sax and godin guitar embellish the soundfield. we even have a new blog post to go with it.

J'essaye, la musique, la mienne...
Des belles rencontres et des histoires particulières avec la musique. Et une écoute attentive, assidue depuis toujours.
Je fais donc tout, toute seule, chaque note est la mienne! Peu de connaissances techniques. Et parce qu'il est difficile de ne pas partager ce que l'on fait, je pose ici mes expériences sonores. Mais je n'oublie pas ce qu'est la musique, l'exigence, le dévouement, l'Amour qu'elle demande . Merci à ceux qui prendront le temps d'écouter, qui ne poseront pas un commentaire juste parce qu'il faut, ou parce qu'ils veulent que je les écoute en retour...qui ne seront pas dithyrambiques sans raison et qui sauront ramener à sa juste valeur ce que je fais.

meshmass make 'single use music', music that is made as you hear it and then never played again. what you have here is a tiny glimpse of meshmass in action. never the finished article,  but updates from the factory floor, where new meshmass is grown in vats and beaten out of sheets. we offer a subscription service:- one hour of new meshmassmusic every month for an annual fee of £12, €15 or $15.... contact auralwitness@gmail.com. or through soundcloud mail. we welcome collaboration, remix, resampling and use of our music in video and performance projects, as ambience for exhibitions and other public spaces and as an accompaniment to daily life. we will come and play at your house if asked for a small negotiable fee. we can play for 2 hours at domestic volume (no live drums) and play a set tailored to your needs.

Hello. My name is Gretchen. Genetic Sherbet was a my sound sketchbook project from 2007-2012.  I used my voice, field recordings, homemade samples, and an occasional steel finger guitar via ex-boyfriend.  These tracks found here are all that remained from that project.
