With the disappointment of another dismal West Ham performance in my heart and the sounds of a rather good goa mix in my ears I wandered back from the pub one Saturday and decided the only thing to do was bash out some trance. 2 hrs and an unspecified (but not insignificant) number of dark ruby ales later this was the result.

It's pretty banging throughout and reasonably moody. Its not dark as in twisted, but its definitely late night shit. Think 6am in a dark room with some strobes, like the main room at Turnmills if you ever had the pleasure of experiencing it. I'm really happy with the way it turned out, everything seems to flow together in a way I can never quite achieve with pre-planned mixes but have never managed to quite capture in any ad-hoc ones I've recorded.

Summer of '64 is our first soundbank for the Togu Audio Line (TAL) U-NO-LX v2 synthesizer. It contains 64 presets in 8 categories. All presets that have been used for our official U-NO-LX demo tracks are included. 

Inspired by tracks of Timecop1983, Todd Terje, Chromeo, Jean Michel Jarre and Giorgo Moroder - to name a few - we started creating these velocity sensitive and level matched patches. We think we came up with a pack with lots of interesting flavors to spice up your outrun, synthwave, ambient, technopop, retrowave or other 80's synth-injected tracks.

TAL U-NO-LX v2 is an accurate and amazing sounding emulation of the Juno 60 for a fraction of the price of the real hardware. Together with its great sounding zero-delay feedback filters (which feature 4x oversampling), NKS-integration and carefully calibrated controls, it makes it a true replacement for the hardware synth with all the advantages of a software plugin. The resonant low-pass filter, the high-pass filter, the great sounding (tunable) oscillator(s) and the two lush chorus algorithms make it ideal for ambient sounding pads, soaring leads, smooth and fat funky basses, arpeggios and even drums. 

As a bonus we've decided to include 18 reverb presets for the TAL Reverb4 plug-in. A few of these patches are used in the demo tracks and to make live easier we've included both insert and send versions of these patches.

Hereby we proudly present our second demo track for the upcoming, and marvelous J-8 virtual instrument by Togu Audio Line (TAL). Since we had the luxury beta testing and sound designing for this plugin we thought it would be nice to make a second demo track for TAL to show what this, really good emulation of the Roland Jupiter 8, is capable of when you use some extra processing.

For this track we used 18 instances of the beta version of this plugin for all the sounds you are hearing. We added effects and some dynamic tools to finish it off. In other words this is what the plugin is capable of when you are using not only the synth itself but add effects as well!

Used hardware synthesizer: Roland Alpha Juno 2 from 1986.
Used DAW: Bitwig Studio 3.2.2.
Used instances: 15 bounced parts.
Used effects: one Alesis QuadraVerb on two of the sounds via send-return configurations, several Bitwig Studio devices such as: delays, EQ+, reverb and dynamic tools for mastering.
