Park Shadow is the project of Finnish producer Joonas Lehtinen, a figure whose roots stretch back to the late '90s Tracker era (where many early seminal OG jungle / D&B tracks were first rooted production wise). A very personal vision of drum and bass, this project reflects a balance between natural formlessness and urban grit.

Park Shadow has (to date) released music on established labels such as Metalheadz, Dispatch, Straight Up Breakbeat, DSCI4, and Utopia Music.

Across 2 releases (in sequence) for Dispatch Blueprints, Park Shadow delivers music born from instinct - capturing a feeling in the moment of their creation, untouched by calculation or compromise. Preserving that raw spark of creation, while paying homage to the foundations of jungle and drum & bass.

Philth returns to Metalheadz with the 'Ghost Promises EP', shaped by a defining period around his early releases on the label and key moments performing alongside Goldie.

Opening with 'Ghost Sector', leaning into the darker, more abrasive edge of Philth's sound, which immediately sets the tone. At the EPs emotional core is 'Promises', written in the days following Outlook Festival in Croatia. Sweeping strings, mournful vocals from Ella Sopp and heavy low-end collide, balancing fragility and force in a way that reflects Philth's deep connection to the label's history.

'Rushing' shifts the mood inward, offering a more atmospheric, hypnotic piece designed for after-hours moments. Closing the EP, Black Barrel delivers a sharp rework of 'Dark '97' (originally a collaboration between Philth, Ant TC1 and Immerse), bringing fresh weight and clarity to the original.

Cymatix is no newcomer to Drum & Bass. His sound is rooted in an era where weight, groove and atmosphere carried as much force as raw energy; when tracks were built to move crowds, not feed algorithms. That influence runs through every corner of 'Unfinished Business', drawing on classic Drum & Bass aesthetics and pulling them into sharp contemporary focus.
After more than a decade away from production, Cymatix returned in 2023 with renewed purpose and found a natural home on Architecture Recordings. A run of releases on the label laid the groundwork for this LP, re-establishing his presence and honing a sound that holds experience and hunger in equal measure.
'Unfinished Business' takes those releases as its foundation and pushes further, covering the full breadth of the Drum & Bass spectrum, from deep, rolling pressure to atmospheric and driving cuts. The range is wide, but the intent never wavers: these tracks are built for the dance floor. Tested at volume, engineered for movement, with groove and momentum running through the core.
This debut LP isn't about reinvention for reinvention's sake. It's about picking up where things left off and finishing the job properly.
'Unfinished Business' is a statement of intent from an artist stepping back into the scene on his own terms: experienced, focused, and locked into the sound system.

The Metalheadz back catalogue features almost every major figure in the history of drum and bass, and is one of the most innovative labels out there, consistently crossing boundaries with its releases since 1994. The labels output continues to showcase a maturing genre of music that displays influences from reggae, hip-hop, house and techno with highly-sophisticated and intricately-produced tracks, contrary to the image of the music that is typically presented by the mass media.

Releasing music from some of the biggest names out there whilst at the same time pushing and letting new talent break through are the reasons why Metalheadz continues to stay at the forefront of electronic music.

The Metalheadz label was also the driving force behind the seminal Sunday Session Club Nights, which achieved legendary status at London's Blue Note club.
