Her productions bring a variety of sounds and invite us to explore the full range of her musical dynamics, leading the listener into her universe where the border between dreams and reality blurs into one, with no tangible beginning or end. For the series, she has crafted a special session where she gives us a unique and magical mix out of her studio in Paris, incorporating exclusive vocals and Rhodes improvisations over 80 beautiful minutes of thoughtful and sensory music. She plays tracks from the 80s: Schleimer K, DZ Lectric & Anthon Shield, taking a funky turn with Girl Unit, to arrive to some dirty acid music by Beverly Hills 808303, ending with a solo rough Rhodes impro through the Moog Cluster Flux pedal. Chem Club Records is a Philadelphia based label with roots in Techno, House, Electro, Ambient and all things Experimental. Running since 2016, the label is working on it’s 10th release. Chem Club is continuing to research realms of music that have one foot on the dancefloor and the other planted in the studio. Expect the unexpected. 

Artist Bio:

Éstudy is a DJ and producer originally from the Bay Area who now resides in Brooklyn, NY. Éstudy’s music is often mentioned as cinematic with a touch of the unexpected. His roots in psychedelic rock, jazz, classical, and traditional Iranian music influence his eccentric music sets ranging from experimental, house, and industrial to electro, breaks, post-punk, and techno, with cinematic influences. 

He co-ran the collective “They’re Here” in San Francisco for over three years, where he pushed upcoming music and artists with live PA sets and DJing. Éstudy continues to release original music under record labels and has released under Pildoras Tapes, Body Musick, Miseria Records, Mosaique Records, and more.

Exactly one year after my 2022 release entitled 'Agitation Propaganda', I return with a collection of new tracks that were produced between the middle of 2022 and early 2023. This 20-track album, as the title suggests, is a tribute to the love affair that I have with making music. In 2023 I celebrate my 40th birthday so I thought it was good timing to release a concept album that pays homage to the one true love that I've ever known- Synthesis ♥️

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

The artwork for the album was done by the brilliant artist Kelly Gilleran, who also just so happens to be my long-term girlfriend. She is a pattern designer, painter, and illustrator. Her work can be found here: www.kellygilleran.redbubble.com/
