Dalmata Daniel welcomes Filmmaker and Petros Spatharos for the eighth part of their split series. This obscure 3-3 track vinyl is the debut of the Columbian music maker on the label. However, for the Athens-based producer it's a return after his participation on "Dalmata Daniel eats Lahmacun" compilation. But this project isn't their first collaboration, because Petros released his first album on Body Musick, Filmmaker's own imprint.

Filmmaker probably doesn't really need to be introduced to those who are comfortable with contemporary underground music. In less than five years he has composed and released a huge and relevant oeuvre by himself or on labels such as the UK-based Opal Tapes, Dutch Tartarus, Greek Phormix or the Italian Veyl, etc. To add Dalmata Daniel to this list is kind of a dream come true for the label, because they have been following his musical journey since the beginning. And no doubt, his side of the vinyl is another testament to his already perfected sound. What you recognise from the first moment of this noisy, industrial, sometimes dissonant ebm driven electro, infused with a film noir atmosphere and total darkness.

While on the flip side, Petros Spatharos keeps the obscurity going, which is the real link with his split partner's music. Only his sound is clean, not chaotic, but rather underworld techno with an extremely restrained tempo and some beyond-the-grave acid screams. That's how this inferno journey will be complete with full of dark emotional atmospheres and hypnotic textures.

For this 23rd Premiere of 2024, we have a track by the veteran Bulgarian DJ/Producer Petar Tassev, aka "MANASYt", titled ‘Angellust’ from his forthcoming EP "Zero Plague" on the London label : Specimen Records.

MANASYt - Zero Plague (EP)  [Specimen Records] Cat # SPEC-033

Zero Plague - another neurovision broadcast by replicant agent MANASYt. The opener - is a dystopian death march anthem, guided by a rolling snare, thick kick, and throbbing bass. Arpeggios sounding like wasps on acid hover in the background, adding to the atmosphere of imminent danger!

Angellust - a hectic breathless industrial electro monster. Fuzzy distorted bass is driving us through a dark desolate territory. Complete with chaotic claps, minor synth stabs, a siren-like clinical pad, and Petar’s hopeless vocals (reminiscent of his days fronting metal bands).

Next is the Pestilent Mix for SNS Sensation new wave masterpiece “Mirror Radio”. Sebastian is also the voice of UK duo Heartbreak (with synth wizard Ali Renault). Petar says: “It’s a very impulsive work that sounds nothing like the original! Blending two different beats, mangled voices, and psychotic off-kilter leads. Total madness.”

First on the flip is the Novichok Mix for Poladroïd. Petar and Vadim go way back to Roulette Rekordz in 2003, so this collab is natural, to say the least. It’s the only time where the tempo slows down a bit on this EP. Bubbling worm-like bass, metallic percussion, cold windy pads, and a classic electro lead take you on a journey to a soulless barren planet.

At last “In Deep Tongues”. A heady schizophrenic exercise. A commanding beat and a grotesque polka bass followed by a paranoid synth lead pull you through a darkened maze with no exit. Underwater gurgles and fearsome corroded effects fill the air, no escape!

After 20 years, MANASYt hasn’t slowed down or mellowed his intense immoderate sound one bit! And “Zero Plague” is undoubtedly a true testament to that!

Today on Meta Moto Premieres, we're featuring "Cailloux" by Théréon from their upcoming EP, Mi Olin, released under the Carpaccio Cathédrale label. Théréon, a band hailing from Strasbourg, consists of Camille Théréau and Paul Souviron. The EP's title, Mi Olin, translates to "my love," and it explores various facets of affection across six tracks, each a chapter of simple, sweet, and powerful love. The EP blends multiple genres, including pop, trap, and wave, creating a crescendo of evocative life slices and lyrical paintings, softly shouted over rich, suave loops.

Camille Théréau is a multifaceted artist, serving as a conference guide and working in art direction and production. She is also a musician and DJ, known for her Kmithre project, and handles production for Carpaccio Cathédrale. Paul Souviron is an accomplished visual artist with exhibitions in France (Fondation Schneider, Mécènes du Sud, Quai Branly) and internationally (Venice Biennale, Artium Pastis Museum in Spain, Language Plus in Quebec). He co-founded and directs Carpaccio Cathédrale and is a producer and DJ for various projects, including Dest Temp, Orcœur, Bet Set, and Pectoflam.

Today on META MOTO Premieres, we're thrilled to present track called "Poetry and Murder" by Pantha Negra, released under the Bristol (UK) label Tutamen. Pantha Negra, the collaboration of producers MP-57 and Porteix, is unveiling their debut EP "They Don't Let Me In," which is the fifth vinyl release from Tutamen. This French duo combines their talents to create an analogue-driven album as Pantha Negra, blending wave-adjacent outsider electronica with technoid synth not-pop across seven tracks. "Poetry and Murder" stands out as a slower-paced EBM track, featuring rhythmic percussion and mesmerizing, hypnotic vocals. Enjoy the experience!

Today we have Dee Dee's Picks, a label from Amsterdam run by super talented artist Déandrah, presents their latest release: "Ethereal Realms - All Fiction is Metaphor" by Marie Delprat. We are really happy to premiere an ambient/minimal synth piece, "Ouverture," explores deep themes of identity and existence.

Marie Delprat, a French musician based in Basel, draws from various musical cultures to create hybrid projects. Her new release delves into questions of self and the human condition, inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin's novel "The Left Hand of Darkness." Through a blend of narration, music, and commentary, Delprat examines what it means to be human and a female performer in a post-humanistic world.

We are always excited to feature artists from Brussels, and today on the Meta Moto platform, we have Bulie Jordeaux with her track "Trajectoire," which will be released on the French label Grande Rousse Disques. The album "Visions" consists of seven songs that take listeners on a sound journey, blending reality with reverie. These seven scenes combine synth pop and dub accents to create dreamlike rhythms bordering on the cosmic, interweaving celestial and ethereal sounds with cavernous and disturbing undertones.

Regarding the track we are premiering today, "Trajectoire," Bulie Jordeaux crafts her own unique space and time. This hypnotic and frenetic piece merges bubbling rhythms with alarming synths, resulting in a nocturnal cavalcade that invites listeners into a gentle chaos filled with heady, repetitive loops.

Today on Meta Moto Premieres, we are excited to introduce the latest EP from Mexico's underground Kyma Komplex label. Presenting "Blue Flamingos" by Thaddeus X, this release pays homage to mid-90s acid house and includes a remix by Ludmila Fuks. "Blue Flamingos" showcases Thaddeus X's artistic vision, inspired by the genre's psychedelic and raw evolution, influenced by countless nights spent in Madrid’s electronic clubs, particularly the legendary Sala Stella. 

The EP delivers a unique fusion of powerful rhythms and psychedelic sounds, crafted to transport listeners into a cosmic dance floor experience. Each track features percussion and synthesizers that capture the trance and avant-garde spirit of those formative years. Thaddeus X's creative process emphasizes experimentation and spontaneity, building rhythmic foundations with analog synthesizers and hardware machines to generate an atmosphere of euphoria and joy. With a rawer sound and a broader vision, Thaddeus X offers mischievous and potent tracks, perfect for the frenzy of the dance floor.

Sharing the same forward-facing approach to techno music, it was about time that Roman DJ and producer Adiel lands her debut EP on Stroboscopic Artefacts. Just a few months on from the drop of the label’s anniversary compilation ‘X – Ten Years of Artefacts’, featuring the broadest array of talents including Rrose, Shifted, Efdemin, Denise Rabe, Chevel, Lucy and more, the timing couldn’t be better for both her and Lucy’s mind-expanding visions to unify.

Following on from an array of 12-inches on her own imprint, including a recent joint effort with Anthony Linell, ‘If Not Now When?’ is an ode to the all-enveloping strangeness of eternal nights that cuts a path of ecstatic light in the dark. Breaking the ice, the title-track plunges us in an effervescing pool of menacing reverbs, bloopy signals and rippling synth tides on a murky tip, while its faster and sharper twin ‘At The Bottom Of The Sea’ vigorously ups the ante to ensure optimal peak time firepower.

Flip sides and here’s ‘If Not Me Who’ diving even deeper into tape-echo’ed bizarro, swashing back and forth from blunt lo-freq frenzy to liquid-like levitation. ‘ESRR’ rounds off the package on a further freaky note, merging heavily processed vocals and swampy, octave-shifting keyboard movements to form a slice of wild, cross-pollinated electronics laid upon a much enticing techno swing. The very epitome of surgically executed dance music with a fascinatingly soulful, nearly shamanic edge to it.
