My biggest struggle as a producer has always been trying to accurately capture the concept / ideas that I hear in my head.
Learning more and more about orchestral arrangements and programming in a DAW sense, has allowed me to ever get closer. 
I decided to rearrange this piece as I have always felt that years ago when I had originally composed this, I lacked the musical maturity, technical expertise (mastering / mixing) or virtual instruments to capture accurately what I was hearing in my head.

Delf is always fascinated by the intrinsic value of music, and the relations between frequencies and human emotions. He was trained with classical piano since the age of 6, but shortly after falling in love with the essence of Hip Hop, Delf was opened up by the world of jazz, soul, funk, gospel, and more. Stumbled upon this song one day on Reddit and immediately shazam’ed it.

Whether it was the understated vocals or the acoustic accompaniment, @beabadoobee ’s vocal hook screamed instant nostalgia and had so much staying power in my mind.

@otterpop1234 actually sampled that hook from Beabadoobee’s 2017 song “Coffee”, and @powfu found the beat on Soundcloud, reinterpreted it into a story about a death bed conversation between lovers, and the rest was history.

Reva DeVito & Roane Namuh - Should Have Known (Tall Black Guy Remix)

Metic fuses soulful guitar grooves with laid-back hip-hop beats. While his playing is rooted in blues and fingerstyle guitar, his productions are informed by 90s boombap, G-funk and trip-hop. A nomadic soul and frequent collaborator, the Brooklyn-based Hong Kong native continues to draw inspiration from both cities.
