Established in 2020, the Spanish label Espacio Cielo, curated by prolific and skilled producer Parissior (SXDNS206/FREEDL043), has been slowly carving its name in stone among the most important Indie Dance/Dark Disco imprints out there by delivering a solid catalogue of releases featuring not only acclaimed artists but also interesting newcomers.

For its forthcoming episode, Espacio brings back the seasoned made-in-Belgium duo Marching Machines (SXDNS276) with their insightful and imperative “Hymn” EP – and the lads do not come alone: The ace remixes provided by none other than master Damon Jee and the label boss himself are the icing on the cake. Both, by the way, adopted the same “formula” for their collaborations: Respecting the originals by keeping most of the main elements but adding their widely known characteristic sonorities.

The three originals (Chrome, Empire, and Holograma), in turn, present themselves as a true showcase of both the technique and the creativity of the Machines. Their heavy and dense but highly danceable atmosphere – granted by vociferous acid lines, trippy pads, and a plethora of throbbing synth layers – could be best described as “darkness meets groove”, exactly the kind of soundtrack that we expect to hear when the machines start to march.

He strongly believes that the mix of genres and feelings in a track is a source of enrichment : He is inspired by multiples genres techno, afro, indie, pop and rock. In every track he produces you will find joy and energy but also sadness and melancholy. Balance is key.

This is what Bliss EP is all about. Both track are dynamic and powerful with glimpses of sadness. The month of August illustrates this feeling : a warm month full of energy with friends of family but also the nostagy of an ending summer.

[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] is proud to present its 77th release. A soundtrack for a dystopia that no one ever wrote. K-Joshua (@dj-joshua) from Setúbal transmits into the ether Opposite Falls EP — nine audio fragments from a parallel chronicle. This is not just dub techno. This is a memory of a world where falling is a form of ascent. There are falls that lead you upward. There is sweetness that tastes bitter. There is music that doesn't echo in the ears, but in the spaces between thoughts. All of this — Opposite Falls EP by K-Joshua — is a new coil in the paradoxical spiral of [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB].

Here, sound flows like water against the current. It climbs the slopes of the mind, skimming the familiar, revealing the impossible. Five original narratives:

:::Protyv (@protyv) splits the “Fall” into two beams of light: one cuts through concrete, the other dances on the surface of rain.
:::Jonah van der Hout (@jonahvanderhout) brings us "Absolute Uncertainty" — like a code left behind by a civilization that no longer exists.

Opposite Falls EP by K-Joshua is a space built from sound — like the seaside streets of Setúbal, in the half-shade of old facades and salty winds. Each track invites you into a room with its own acoustics. In one — the whisper of water rushing upward. In another — concrete vibrating with the rhythm of ancient techno archaeology. And somewhere in between — silence where absolute uncertainty hides. This release doesn't seek logic. It lives in between. Between architecture and nature. Between sweetness and bitterness. Between falling and returning to the self. Opposite Falls EP is not music you listen to. It is music that listens to You. And, perhaps — for a moment — understands.

Liudas Lazauskas aka Roe Deers has been on fire over the last couple of years with tracks on Magic Feet, Rotten City,  ,Suara, Ombra International, La Belle, Calypso  amongst others. As well as Nein with a selection of EP's and remixes.

He shows no sign of slowing down here with the excellent 'Bells of Hell', a typically trippy and off kilter track, made for the darkest of dance-floors.

AEON has been in musical rude health of late, with Speaking Minds, Amarcord, Lauer, Fort Romeau, Moscoman, Kincaid, Joris Beismans and label boss Alex Niggemann all bringing the heat. Now, continuing the high level of quality, up steps Israeli man of the moment Jenia Tarsol with two classy Italo influenced cuts on his 'Strom EP’.
The title track, ‘Strom' is a playful workout, featuring hypnotic low-end organs over a simple but irresistible groove which draws you in before a high-end organ motif adds a real element of light heartedness to the track with a melody that’s sure to get stuck in your head and bring a smile to all but the most chin stroking clientele.
‘Nosisi’ is a more serious affair but still retains Tarsol’s trademark drum programming and a dance floor friendly vibe. Hooky disco influenced Guitars are the order of the day here, used to subtle but devastating effect before whispered vocals add an etherial edge to the soundscape. Remix duties are fulfilled on this EP by Panthera Krause and Uriah Klapter. Krause leans yet more on disco flavours with his take on Nosisi, with a Moroder-like baseline locking the listener in early before a powerfully atmospheric breakdown delivers the ‘spine tingle’ moment. Klapter takes Strom down a more menacing path with industrial percussion elements dominating, before a driving baseline picks up the pace and the low- end organ makes its self known. 5am vibes a plenty on this moody groover.
All in all another stunning package from the in-form German label.
AEON take over Oosterbar in Amsterdam on October 19 for an ADE Special with Alex Niggemann, Fort Romeau, Jenia Tarsol, Speaking Minds and Kincaid.

Casino Times aka Nicholas Church and Joseph Spencer from London have been betting against the house for close to 10 years already, winning big with releases on Wolf Music, Needwant, Omena and their own Casino Edits label. The pair also hosts the radio Show “What’s My Derivative?” on Bloop Radio. Since Mireia Record’s big cheeses RSS Disco have been keen to gamble with the Time’s music, routinely lighting up dancefloors with it, a loose connection and mutual admiration formed overthe years and eventually lead to this fine record here.

Metope’s tracks sometimes seem as if they longed to turn their digital being into real flesh. 
Unable to achieve this, they try to imagine what it would be like, by using bit reduction processes to simulate half forgotten thoughts. 
After years of calculations and communications with the spirit of a long forgotten master called „Sid“, they were still dissatisfied and 
they still didn’t know what being human feels like, …they had not even the faintest idea. 
But one day this frustrating situation came to an end. 
Metope played a few beautiful, yet slightly melancholic chords, recorded them and 
nearly went crazy when he realised what had happend:……….…"my love feels digital" he said to himself…..… “my digital feels love“ appeared on the screen…

Metope (born Michael Schwanen) has been producing electronic music for almost 20 years. He founded his label Areal Records with his good friends Basteroid and Konfekt in 2001. Through his releases on Areal he was soon being invited to perform live at clubs and festivals worldwide. In 2005 he released his first full-length album, “Kobol” which received critical acclaim for it's dark and original take on what a techno LP should be. Over the years Metope has also made a name for himself as a remixer, putting his touch on artists such as Depeche Mode, Gabriel Ananda, Lexy and Fairmont. 
In 2007 he began playing live as the Cereal Killers along with Areal label mate Ada, and friends Jake Fairley and Pan/Tone. In 2008 Metope and Basteroid opened the Areal sub-label IRR (International Records Recordings) with Ada as A&R. The label was instantly heralded by both the press and DJ's for the productions of John Daly, DJ Koze and Ada. Towards the end of 2009 Metope started to DJ professionally. Pryer to this he had kept this passion to himself and done so only in the shadows. He is now also experimenting with a combined live-set-DJ performance, using Traktor and a Native Instruments Maschine. 2009 also saw Metope establish Beachcoma Recordings with Canadian friends Pan/Tone and Fairmont. The three have now started to produce and perform live as a trio under the name Beachcoma.
Metope has several releases in the pipeline as well. Arriving first will be “Defender” on IRR, followed by “Betaowl” on Areal both in the November of 2010. He is also working on his next album which is set for release in the autumn of 2012 on Areal Records.
