Juno's Review :  "Frankfurt's not even noticed has been breaking through in the past year or so, dropping an album on Diffuse Reality as well as singles for Gated and Chat Noir. Now they come to Nebulae with a six-track epic which speaks to their skill in painting vivid, evocative imagery through the power of electronics. Stylistically, there's space for clattering breaks and languid 101 lines on the likes of 'Antimatter, while a crisper demeanour comes through in the clipped 808 beats and gossamer melodic threads of 'Accretion', but really this plays out like a refined mini-album of home listening electronica for headphone trippers and sofa surfers."

Flat Earth records is happy to present Tancred’s debut EP ‘Cyber Katana’ :

In the unremitting flux of our digital world, the world craves a sense of harmony. 

Cyber Katana EP is an ode to that quest, exploring the interconnection between technology and humans. 

Drawing inspiration from Japanese culture and the discipline of martial arts, Tancred imagined synths as a way to realize oneself and as instruments of social connection. In doing so, he’s celebrating technology not as a simple tool but as a catalyst for human creation and emotional connectivity.

With his hardware, Tancred forged the first track ‘Cyber Katana’ as an emotional club banger, where the gritty roaring bass can effortlessly shake an entire room. He then draws his influence from Detroit’s electro with Social Beatwork and Robot’s kiss. Finally NMSS delivers a cutting edge Bass remix of the first track, perfect for the dancefloor.

During This techno-optimist body of music, Tancred leads us to the question are we really using the synths or are them using us ?

Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Marcela Dias Sindaco is formerly a classical piano and cello player. With early musical influences drawing from experimental German groups like Popol Vuh, Tangerine Dream, and Cluster, her electro productions encapsulate more than one sound palette.

Marcela Dias Sindaco - Electro Tropical [Fixed Rhythms // FRS035]

For Marcela Dias Sindaco’s third release on the Oklahoma City label Fixed Rhythms, she delivers a full-length 2xLP of her characteristically magical electro. These songs were recorded in various studios across Brazil, capturing the intangibles of Brazilian city life. You can hear her influences (Detroit techno, kosmische synth travel, electro, etc.), but she distills it all yet again into something completely her own. Whenever you listen to her music, you know it’s her. Hypnotizing electro made on warm machines with her sung/spoken Portuguese woven enchantedly throughout…truly sublime listening. This is a 16 track groove journey that will make you a Marcela fan if you aren’t already one.

The two black 12”s come housed in a beautiful jacket that offers you a glimpse into Marcela’s world. The background of the artwork on the backside features a wallpaper design that you may find in an old home in Brazil. Inside is an insert written by Italian curator and philosopher Massimo Torrigiani. Only 300 copies pressed…don’t sleep on this one.
