For the 27th act, Etang Brulant (@etang-brulant)is happy to yield the floor to the French duo ‘Les Maîtres Fous’ (@lesmaitresfous), composed by the musician behind ‘Les Maux’ or ‘brg’ (already seen on Etang Brulant, and Berlin-based imprint Ygam) and a French-language lyricist and singer that you can call from now on ‘Labolakis’.

For their debut EP, called "Le Tombeau des Météores", after two performances operated between Marseille and Paris, the duo confirms its talent with 6 powerful tracks and its unique vision of French variety, revisited with tr(h)ip-hop rhythmics or technoid drumkits, squeezed dry to let the soothing voice of Labolakis emerge from reverberated atmospheres or gabber-ish kicks.

"The Death of Icarus", WL//WH is pleased to premiere, unravels esoteric lyrics to dive into the metaphysical realms of being tempted by the divine, escaping the mortal flesh, and becoming one with the Universe.
Primal jackal howls radiate upwards through slowed, stark breakbeat rhythms and sinuous swelling deep bass pulsations, building a mesmeric tapestry of expanding horizons under deep heartfelt French vocal's ceremonial release of transformative energies, while stark, trembling, lonely resonant wistful chords and warm glowing synth swathes rise hypnotically into a soothing incandesce of celestial awe.

Exactly one year after his 2020 release entitled Dunklewissenschaft, DVS NME returns with a collection of new tracks that were produced between late 2020 and early 2021. This 25-track album is another obvious thematic tribute, only this time he chose to pay homage to the writing of the socialist revolutionary Karl Marx. Every song title is a nod to the German philosopher's economic and political theory. Even the album cover borrows directly from Marx, re-adapting the original cover of the 1848 pamphlet entitled 'The Communist Manifesto'.

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic Electro machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to his studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

DVS NME is the man behind the weekly radio show/daily blog called 'Dark Science Electro' and has been a dedicated contributor for the Electro community for the last 11 years. Mazi es un  DJ de la vieja escuela que empezó a ser atraído por la música electrónica a muy temprana edad, lo que le llevó a comprar sus primeros platos. En esa época Mazi comenzó a montar raves con los colegas y tras colaborar con numerosos colectivos, pasó a formar parte del colectivo amigo UEMA al que tanto admiramos y respetamos por su buen hacer dentro del panorama electrónico de nuestro país.
