The Saraha Nyingma Buddhist Institute, or "Saraha" for short, is a local Buddhist center and educational resource center for Buddhist teachings.

Dedicated to the Buddha's teachings of Enlightenment, and practicing according to the Dudjom Lineage of the Nyingma School Tibetan Buddhism under the direct leadership of HH Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche, Lama Tsering Gyaltsen and Lama Sonam Tsering, Saraha is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit religious organization based in Eugene, Oregon, USA. 

As a local spiritual center, Saraha conducts daily meditation practice events, language training, video teachings, book groups and other events at its 7,000 square foot temple facility in Eugene. In addition, Saraha has a regular schedule of special events, such as teaching events with invited teachers, meditation retreats and extended Buddhist ritual events.

Through electronic media, Saraha also functions as a wider-ranging Buddhist educational resource, supporting distance-learning in Buddhist subjects, and offering to the world a digital archive of events that happen at and in connection with its local presence in Eugene.

Rangjung Yeshe Institute (RYI) has conducted study programs in Nepal for more than 25 years. Since 2002 RYI has partnered with Kathmandu University offering academic credit for those study programs. In 2009 RYI launched its online learning program. Our aim is to utilise our expertise and experience to enable students from around the world to study Buddhism and Himalayan Languages with us.
