It's finally time to set off on your journey, and it's an exciting moment as you wonder what kind of world awaits you!


In 5 billion years, the sun we see every day will exhaust its fuel and meet its end. The sun, which will expand larger than Earth's orbit, will engulf the planet and obliterate everything on it. If humanity manages to avoid extinction and maintain its civilization, we will abandon our mother Earth and migrate to another planet. However, the sun of that new planet will also eventually die, and once again, we will set off for another planet. There is no place in this universe where humanity can live permanently.

Is this tragedy, which will occur 5 billion years from now, the first of its kind in this universe? No, it is a catastrophe that has struck countless intelligent life forms over the course of 13.7 billion years. There must have been life forms that, after repeated cycles of war-induced civilizational collapse and rebuilding, could not escape in time and were wiped out by the death of their star. 

Will humanity be able to depart before the death of the sun?


The melody and arrangement are from the MacOS7 era, about 30 years ago.
The external synthesizer sounds that were played with this MIDI file at the time no longer exist.
I replaced them with similar sounds, but I may revise them again.

A tribute to Mike Oldfield with a Guitar Instrumental rendition of the classic tune, Moonlight Shadow.

Information gathered from Wikipedia;
Released as a single on the 6th May 1983 by Virgin Records, and included on his eighth album, Crises, of the same year.
It has been suggested that the lyrics of the song are a reference to the murder of John Lennon, despite the fact that the events in the song do not correspond with those of Lennon's murder.
When asked whether "Moonlight Shadow" is a reference to John Lennon's murder in a 1995 interview. 
Oldfield responded..
"Not really... well, perhaps, when I look back on it, maybe it was. I actually arrived in New York that awful evening when he was shot and I was staying at the Virgin Records house in Perry Street, which was just a few blocks down the road from the Dakota Building where it happened, so it probably sank into my subconscious. It was originally inspired by a film I loved – Houdini, starring Tony Curtis, which was about attempts to contact Houdini after he'd died, through spiritualism... it was originally a song influenced by that, but a lot of other things must have crept in there without me realising it".

The Eclectic Collective — composition and mix

  This is the second song in a row that The Eclectic Collective is releasing in as many weeks that was written by Chris. We love working on his songs, and all jumped at the chance to play with this one, as well. He wrote it on an acoustic guitar, onto which he also put some heavy reverb, giving it an ethereal, chordal sound. To that bare bones, Josh fist added his four-string fretless bass to a click track, of all things. Luckily, Ken swooped in soon after and gave it a proper beat with his lively percussion performance. 
  Once the rhythm section was complete, Tez added his melodic, golden-tone guiar in there. Then, it was JJ's turn. He added not only the piano and synth, but wrote the lyrics and sang it, as well. 
  This song was actually mixed by the group, as we all added our parts, although Ken did some final adjustments, too.
  JJ's lyrics tell the story of the first people to reach Easter Island, millenia ago. The wonder of the journey and the discovery of a new home, while using the materials available to survive. Here are his original lyrics.

A passionate heavy Alt-Rock-Blues inspired (Sacred Love)tune now turned sour as her lover decided to simply scadadel once again...Poor woman! Ouch, it hurts so bad!!! 💘 

She's caught in the tangled strands, the all too familiar chicky problem of a failed relationship, a world now suddenly crashin', and just like Annie Lennox of the Eurythmics La-La-La'd: "Here comes the rain again, falling on my head like a memory, falling on my head like a sweet emotion", here it comes again, here it comes again, huh"...And what a brilliant most unforgettable song that was, that still is!!!⚡🔥⚡ And just like Annie, her love for him can never perish...Never-Ever & Never!!!

Her worst nightmare is seriously for r-e-a-l. He's really gone, gone, gone & nowhere to be found at all. As a result, she's now livin', but quite frankly, more like drowning in the Dark-Deep-Blue, in an ocean of tragic-sadness where she questions her sanity over & over again, and then again once more.

Composer of guitar instrumentals from Australia, producng music & film from the home studio in my spare time purely for enjoyment.
