Spring 2016 - The sound

A native of Los Angeles, California. I started DJ'ing in 1990 at the age of 15 with a pair of Technics (that still somehow work flawlessly). Changed forever by the underground sound that keeps me up at night and communities thriving around the world. Thank you for dancing!

Types of mixes listed:

First Page Series is a mix based off of the first page of the genre's Beatport page.  It is that simple.
Trainspotting Series is where Shazam was used to identify the track that a DJ played.  While frowned upon, these mixes for me to listen to after a great night dancing to my favorite DJs and for those who could not make it to the same event as I.

T.mouse's mixes are known for their unknown start and finish.  Hailing his influences from Carl Cox, Doc Martin, and DJ Vicious Vic of Caffeine NYC, T.mouse has always strived to go beyond the convention mold of what a DJ is or could be. There is no genre safe from this Sneaky Rat Bastard's paws once he is behind the decks. Rest assured, you will either be begging at the booth for more, or you will be questioning life outside the venue door!


Biography

T.mouse should have known he was bound for the DJ lifestyle when he would rather listen to Herbie Hancock, Beastie Boys, Run DMC, LL Cool J, and other beats instead of the hair bands that starred in the 1980s. He also should have known becoming a DJ was inevitable when he would go to car stereo shows to listen Miami Bass tracks being played at extreme volumes with subwoofers creating "brown notes". His first dive into the electronic dance music scene was in 1992 where a boring night of Hip Hop at a club driften him to the dj booth where he request techno, got handed a napkin with an address on it, and was told simply, "go there and ask a cop you want this 'dipped'." Once there, and nervously asking an uniformed police officer this crazy request, it was into the world which the Sneaky Rat Bastard has called home since! In 1997, he decided to try to keep his vinyl collection playing versus playing one record and changing them out one by one. It was at this point, T.mouse was born. Since that day, he has played all over the world to include Italy, Puerto Rico, Kuwait, and Iraq. T.mouse has been called the most technical DJ, and has been also called one of the craziest people to be behind as many as six mixible sources at one time. But, he never takes his mixes for granted and will never know how they will turn out. This is what makes catching T.mouse live the most fun; you will never hear the same mix twice just like lightning!
