TECHNO

Born in northern Spain and now based in Berlin, Leiras is a DJ and producer who has spent the past decade shaping his sound across multiple aliases and imprints. As the founder of Ownlife, he’s built a platform dedicated to techno's mental and experimental edges, while also advocating likeminded artists through both new releases and reissues via his ‘SELD’ series.

A dedicated student of rhythm and sound design, Leiras brings a sharp sense of intention to everything he does—paying homage to the foundations of techno while always searching for new ground. His sound builds slowly, using looping patterns and subtle shifts to lock you in—less about big drops, more about staying in the zone.

P.E.A.R.L.’s Falling Ethics imprint reaches release number 25. For this special occasion he invites personal favourite and good friend, icon of the Spanish techno scene, Oscar Mulero. After a first appearance on the label back in 2019 it was long overdue to present their follow up split EP. Both producers are known for their forward-thinking, optimized techno pressure and on ‘Above Us Today’ they show nothing less. Four perfectly shaped, effective techno hitters in their own iconic style. Mulero with his twisted hypno swing and P.E.A.R.L. working his impeccable high-energy grooves make this an essential techno pack.

Focused on raw textures this record explores a territory where noise meets precision. Punchy drums collide with saturated percussions, while delay-heavy treatments carve space into the mix, creating hypnotic tension across each track. It's a stripped-back yet forceful statement -- functional and experimental in equal measure.

MATTEW JAY BIO:
Born in Conegliano Veneto on 18th June 1986, Matteo Bortoluzzi aka Mattew Jay is an italian Dj and Producer. Since he was very young he was a great lover of the electronic music’s world in all his different stylistic undertones: techno, tech house, deep house. At the age of 15 he started to get closer to the world of the clubs hanging out all the electronic music’s clubs of Veneto, until in 2007 he decided to embark on a career as Dj and producer. Together with his inseparable friend Johnny Kaos, in few years Mattew Jay started to perform in several clubs of Veneto and, meanwhile, started to produce his first tracks. In 2011 Mattew Jay made his debut into Minicoolboyz’ label (Amazing Record), starting point from which he become to be noticed by the most famous Djs from all over the world. Then in 2012 came out in the Luca M’s label (Get Funky Music) arriving finally, in the summer, at the famous Daniel Sanchez’s label Bla Bla Rec with the ep. “The Cayman” and the Dubfire’s Sci Tec one with “Rollies” included in the compilation “ A Transmission”.
In the 2013 we have his first important releases such as for example his debut on MB electronics (Marco Bailey’s label) and on Octopus Records of Sian, the rmx of “Track 5” of Minicoolboyz (on the 1st position of the techno chart of June) and his first Ep on Sci+Tec called “Poisoned Rose” which included the track “Boreal Dust”, in 1st position of the techno chart for 3 weeks. Morover on December 2013 comes out his first artist's album called “Gemini Faces” and the rmx for the techno legend Marco Bailey and the rmx for one of the best artists of techno scenary Sam Paganini. 
In the 2014 he makes his first debut on Intec, the legendary Carl Cox's label!

Michel started DJ'ing in 1988 spinning the wheels of steel at small parties and birthday parties. In 1993 Michel got to play for 3 months at the Spanish club Pacha and in the same year he started his weekly radio show at System FM. Many local DJ..s and national stars such as 100% Isis, Marcello and Cellie rocked the turntables on air together with Michel. Also Michel gained respect playing gigs at clubs like Club Time and Catacomb Studios (both in Amsterdam), Waakzaamheid (Koog aan de Zaan), Fun Factory (Zaandam), the Looseclub parties, several bars and underground locations, playing alongside national and international heroes like Jerome, Steve Rachmad, Cellie, Shinedoe, Estroe, Carlijn, Erick E, Marcello, Isis, Per, Surgeon, Jay Denham, Space DJ'z, Thomas Krome and Rino Cerrone. From his and his friends love for house music the foundation Abstract was born in 1999, giving parties in i.e. Lichtfabriek in Haarlem, organising small underground parties at various cool locations and a weekly club/techno evening called Solid, which was held at Latido in Zaandam. In December 2002 “Abstract” started with giving parties at the Buk Buk in Heiloo. “Format” was the name of this new evening. Michel was one of the residents of Format. The last edition of Format was in may 2006 then Michel played together with Chris Hope. In the beginning 2003 Michel started to play on a new houseclassicsevening in Atlantis, Alkmaar. Many classicparties followed in 2003 &amp; 2004. In October 2006 a new techno evening was started in Atlantis, Alkmaar which is called “Testlab” Michel is hosting this new evening together with dj Ken. Every last Friday of the month they invite as well national as international dj’s. Although Michel prefers pleasing the crowd on dancefloors with his energetic and distinguishing techno sets, he has always been an allround DJ also playing clubhouse, techhouse, minimal, house classics and much more… One thing is clear: Everywhere Michel rocks the decks the crowd is bound to go out of it's mind!



This is just a hobby i love doing not looking to be a star .... just to put some beats together and share with everyone.... :)
