After spending some of the best nights of my life dancing in front of the Spirit Train, it was a dream come true to play on LOBO…

AfrikaBurn, and its dance floors, have always been my happy place. My annual odyssey into the desert, has been amongst my greatest joys… This last year, the cancellation of the Burn, along with so much else, left a huge gap. I buckled down, and retreated into music – with music being the salve that got me through the year. 

So, to finally be back in Tankwa, but this time, spinning beats on the iconic Spirit Train was a dream… I opened up the RTTS party on Sunday night, playing to a full and thumping dance floor – and had one of the most epic experiences! The energy emanating from that dance floor; the lights; the colors; the smiles; the movement… It’s hard to describe how incredible that felt! 

What a joy to play in that magical place, amongst such master musicians. I’m counting down the days until I can return again… Thank you LOBO. What a gift!

This is our Ten Year Zero Anniversary @zeroparty set we did at the Knockdown center as an opener for @andhim. What an amazing time and opportunity to show the Zero community how important they have been to us and the city of NY in regards to culture and their ability to consistently bring alternative and good electronic music to the city. 
A focus of this set and its themes you will notice are love and getting into a groovy state of mind. We hope you enjoy this one as much as we did playing it.

For the first time ever i decided to approach playing in a different way. The HearTribe celebration in Tulum was the perfect playground to go and experiment in this way. Together with Allen Hulsey i played this Hybrid Live set Up. I traded my comfort with CDJ's for a new approach with Ableton. Allen is the one who reminded me to get out of my comfort zone, just to reach new heights and depths... Sharing this with all the hearts made it just extra special.

Velhasıl is a duo project coming from cradle of civilizations, Istanbul. Two music enthusiasts, colleagues who share the same desk at work and close friends, Kemal and Mete, found themselves in the same musical wormhole so decided to continue their musical journeys together. They’ve been sharing mixtape series called “Ancient Journey” touching the unique cultures of world with ethnic, downtempo and deep house tunes. They also have a guest mix series called "The Story" hosting talented artists from all over the world in their channel.

This magical set from Catori was recorded live at the Creek Cafe at the PYNK X Gathering in Vermont on August 3rd, 2019. We loved this deep and emotional set of gorgeous music -- we immediately asked her to record a mix for our little radio show -- turns out the set was recorded and we are thrilled to present it here for your listening pleasure. <3

Catori works with sound both electronically and acoustically. Her style ranges from organic tribal house and to ambient meditation soundscapes. With early influences ranging from Latin to reggae and onward to her classical training in voice and violin, she draws inspiration from a rich cultural upbringing and international exploration.

This was my fourth edition of the SUNrise & Burn DD After Party, what I consider to be one of the best after party I have participated so far, thank you Burn Marcel for offering me such a delight slot. The SUNrise DD after party is usually happening every year after the Burning Man Official Dutch Decompression in Amsterdam, ... perhaps this was the final rise.

This is my set performed from 10h to 11h30 on main stage, a mix of various styles blended with an afro house taste. I hope you like it.

inspired by the diversity and authenticity of world music, ali mae takes you on a sonic journey by weaving together a blanket of multi-cultural electronic music. her sound evokes a sense of distant nostalgia and unconscious familiarity, incorporating elements from of tribal communities, which have been deeply engrained in our souls. in this particular set--which she describes as symbolic of her relationship with the pandemic--you can hear her contemplation between obeying restrictions that keep us all separated (by employing chill, downtempo vibes) and disobeying (through fun, upbeat, happy sounds), continuing to unite people through music. she hopes you can feel the love coming through this set, as much as she felt while playing it.
