My guest Scoot McNairy has been in the acting game for years. He's had an incredible career so far but it wasn't always smooth sailing. Today he returns to the show after 12 years and we catch up on his life. Scoot is known for his roles in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Monsters, Argo, Killing Them Softly, 12 Years a Slave, Gone Girl, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Ep 769 : Kenny Wayne Shepherd returns to the show.

This recording was made in 2001 when Michele Angelini was 19 years old.  He sang with a professional mens a cappella choir based in Charleston, WV called 'Cantabile' and this was one of the tracks from their CD.  Angelini was the male soprano of the group, here heard in toning a chanted 'Ave Maria' leading directly into an arrangement of 'If ye love me' by Thomas Tallis.

Italian-Ukrainian-American tenor Michele Angelini has been solidifying his reputation upon the International operatic stage as one of the foremost tenors specializing in the Bel Canto and Mozartian repertoire.

Mr. Angelini has performed leading roles in major international theaters as Libenskof in Il viaggio a Reims (Pesaro, Florence), Don Ramiro in La cenerentola (Hartford, Austin, Ft. Worth, Denver), Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Stockholm, New Orleans), Lindoro in L’Italiana in Algeri (Bologna, Bilbao, Atlanta), Narciso in Il turco in Italia (Düsseldorf), L’isola disabitata (Siena), Ferrando in Così fan tutte (Rome), Ottavio in Don Giovanni (Savonlinna), Scipio in Il sogno di Scipione (Gotham Chamber Opera in NYC), Elvino in La sonnambula (Miami), Ernesto in Don Pasquale (Winnipeg), Judas in Judas Maccabeus (L.A.), Nangis in Le Roi Malgré Lui (Bard Summerscape), Fenton in Falstaff (Toledo) and created the role of Hänschen in Frühlings Erwachen (Brussels).  He joined The Metropolitan Opera roster in 2010 and has since covered the lead roles in La Fille du Régiment, and Rossini's Armida and Barbiere.  Concert work includes Elézar in Moïse et Pharaon and Mozart’s Requiem (Carnegie Hall), Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle (Alice Tully Hall) and The Messiah (Oslo, The Kennedy Center).

Future engagements include a return to Stockholm as Ottavio, debuts at Caramoor as Gennaro in Lucrezia Borgia and The Royal Opera House Covent Garden as Almaviva followed by performances as Ottavio and then Gluck’s Orphée et Eurydice with Sir John Eliot Gardiner.
He holds bachelor degrees in Bassoon and Vocal Performance from The Ohio State University and has been a 1st Place winner in the Savonlinna Opera Festival, Gerda Lissner Foundation and Opera Index competitions.
