There was a young Japanese girl who lived in a bustling city in Japan. She was known for her quiet and reserved nature, always keeping to herself as she went about her daily business.

One rainy evening, she found herself waiting for the train at a small station on the outskirts of the city. She stood alone under the shelter, watching as the rain fell heavily from the sky. The sound of the raindrops hitting the metal roof was the only thing that could be heard as she waited for her train to arrive.

As the minutes ticked by, she began to feel a sense of unease. The trains were running late and the station was eerily quiet. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. She looked around but saw no one.

As the night grew darker, the girl's fear began to grow. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was not right. She started to walk around the station looking for someone to help her, but she found no one. She was completely alone.

As the hours passed, the girl began to realize that she was trapped in the station. The trains had stopped running, and there was no way for her to leave. She had been abandoned in the middle of the night, alone in the rain.

For days, the girl survived by eating the food from the vending machines and drinking from the water fountain. She searched for a way out of the station but found none. She was trapped and alone.

Years passed, the girl grew old and gray haired, and the station remained closed, a forgotten relic of the past, and the girl's story became a legend, her lonely figure waiting for the train under the rain, a haunting reminder of what can happen when we are abandoned in the dark.

As the night falls, I immerse myself in the analog warmth of my Buchla modules and DFAM, complemented by the punchy rhythms of my trusty Roland TR-606 drum machine. The combination of these classic analog instruments creates a sonic journey through the depths of deep house, as each sound blends seamlessly with the next to form a hypnotic groove. Each knob turn and patch cable connection evokes a range of emotions, from the excitement of discovering a new sound to the satisfaction of sculpting the perfect beat. The flickering lights and tactile controls of my hardware setup guide me through a labyrinth of sonic possibilities, as I lose myself in the blissful trance of the music. The night stretches on, but my passion for this art form only intensifies, as I continue to explore the infinite sonic universe that lies at my fingertips.

Imagine being transported to a cozy underground club, surrounded by a sea of synthesizers emitting a mesmerizing wave of deep techno and house beats. That's exactly the vibe of the live jam session that took place recently, featuring only analog synthesizers and oscillators in a eurorack environment.

The pulsing rhythms and hypnotic melodies created by these machines were simply spellbinding, transporting the listener to another world. Although, due to a technical glitch, the video feed was cut short, the audio quality is impeccable, allowing you to enjoy the performance in its entirety.

Despite the small hiccup, this jam session was truly one-of-a-kind, showcasing the raw power and versatility of analog synthesizers. If you're a fan of electronic music or just curious about this unique performance, we highly recommend you check it out!

Ceaselessly pushing the boundaries between proper enslaving music for the mind and straight out incendiary floor dynamics bound to wreak havoc down the basement, Dutch production unit Artefakt counts as one of the country’s finest exponents of that sleek, hypnotic school of techno. Having carved out their niche as stalwarts of seminal Amsterdam-based imprint Delsin, the pair keep on dishing out their enveloping blends of silken analogue rhythms and elegant 4x4 digressions into a dreamy unknown, which the present RYC mix makes a perfect showcase of. A trance-inducing journey away from real-life hustle and across lushly-textured jungles of sound, where the martial pulse of 909s, squelchy acid tropes and magnetic deep tech elevation coalesce into a volatile mix of escapist endeavour and big-room punch from hell. Bend your mind.
