The 34th release on microCastle sees the long awaited re-issue of Grammy nominated producer Barry Jamieson's 'Stars'. The seminal track was originally recorded in 2002 shortly after Evolution disbanded and was subsequently released in 2004 under the alias of Invisible Inc. The track gained huge popularity when Sasha began opening many of his sets with the ambient version well over a year before the official release. The storied UK DJ also featured 'Stars' as the closing track on his famed 'New Emissions of Light and Sound' DVD soundtrack which saw Sasha, Barry and Charlie May win best original score at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival in the Extreme Sports film category. It's irresistible and emotionally charged melodies made it one of the most sought after pieces of music at the time and was accompanied by several club interpretations for the official release. John Digweed was also a huge supporter of the record and featured the 'Unbroken' Mix in many of his live and radio sets. For the reissue we have included the original ambient and original club versions which have been previously unavailable along with brand new remixes from label artists Charlie May and Guy J.

The 37th release on microCastle finds the label revisiting King Unique's Beatport #1 release 'Some Break The Shell'. The four track EP released in April of 2014 found the storied UK producer showcasing some of the most diverse and poignant work of this career. Now to kick off 2015 we see four brand new interpretations courtesy of Dubspeeka, Jamie Stevens, Pedram and Petrels.

Press text: The lone interpretation of 'Some Break' is provided by microCastle label artist Jamie Stevens. The Aussie producer is now making his fourth appearance on the label and first of 2015. Jamie has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his career. As one of Australia's most talented and sought after music producers he has proven his skill in professional sound design, music scores for film and contemporary dance music. As the founding member of Infusion, the much-loved Australian electronic live act, he's left his mark around the globe, headlining some of the biggest and most respected clubs including; Fabric- London, Pacha - Buenos Aires, Womb- Tokyo and festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Roskilde and Creamfields in Moscow, Brazil, UK and Argentina. In his home country, Infusion has received 2 prestigious ARIA awards for their work.  More recently Jamie's discography has been highlighted by a contribution (Prism) to John Digweed and Nick Muir's 'Versus’ album along with 'The Wonder of You', released in 2013 on microCastle, which turned out to be one of his career best pieces of work.  It earned a #1 chart placing in both Tech House and Electronica on Beatport and was widely regarded as one of the year's best releases.  Always a magical remixer Jamie has reinvented the sparkling, melodic 'Some Break' into a stomping techno beast of a record. Already played by Jeremy Olander & Guy J at the VH1 Supersonic festival it looks to be one of Jamie's biggest techno productions of the year.

One of 2014's most sought after remixers was undoubtedly Dubspeeka. The Bristol based producer is perhaps best known for being one half of the much loved Kosheen project which yielded one of electronic music’s finest ever records in ‘Hide You’. The Dubspeeka production moniker has already amassed an impressive discography with releases on Bedrock, Drumcode, Ideal Audio, Suara and his own Skeleton imprint. For his '7 Hours' interpretation Dubspeeka has stripped the beastly original right down and overhauled it into a romping techno workout. It's tension filled drive is offset with sombre synths and vibrant electronics which pierce the atmosphere with electric flair.

Lonely Heart is no exception, its melancholy charm becomes more clear with each blissful minute leaving you utterly spellbound; in the palm of his hands. 2702 is a much tougher sound. Gritty and driving, it pulverises the dancefloor into submission punctuated by Eastern wails and a woodblock melody. Dutch maestro Navar provides a spine-tingling remix of Lonely Heart, toughening up the groove and heading in a dubbier and esoteric direction.'

'Stinkbug Roulade' is a dirty and energetic slammer, full of drive with a techno slant but with proggy edges. Fierce.

When you come up with titles for tracks, sometimes they just land like this one "I Think Therefore I'm Spam'. A dirty arpy driver, some wonky vibes and plenty of punch.

Golan Zocher steps up on remix duties softening the vibe, and bringing out the melodies wonderfully.'

The latest release from Dopamine White welcomes Jorge Viana to the label for his debut EP. The Argentinean artist has been rising up in the progressive music scene since making his debut in 2018 with a release on 3xA Music. Subsequent outings for Clinique Recordings and Superordinate Music furthered the sentiment that Jorge was a name to watch in the genre's vast talent pool. Now embarking on the most anticipated release of his career, the Argentine debuts on Dopamine White with ‘Encélados'.

Comprised of two tracks it's the deep, sultry sounds of the title selection which open the EP. Fluid grooves, smooth rhythms and an array of cosmic effects unite across this near ten minute journey. Pensive pads descend over the framework for a tense yet spirited vibe, before luminous tunes and effervescent percussion carry into the main break. Cascading keys lay gently under the surface, eventually getting washed away as billowing synths, lively arps and chugging bass tones make for a heads down finale.

‘Oliva' rounds the release out with a similar and equally stunning sonic profile. Once again it's a bed of punchy beats and rolling bass which anchor the piece, while an array of hazy harmonics and melodic fragments take centre stage above. Perhaps geared for late night play, the main break brings a sense of calm, with drifting atmospheres and esoteric tones uniting for magical moments, as mountainous bass tones usher in a groovy final movement. It caps off a great Dopamine White debut for Jorge Viana, who has certainly showcased his career best work here. Highly recommended.
