The 37th release on microCastle finds the label revisiting King Unique's Beatport #1 release 'Some Break The Shell'. The four track EP released in April of 2014 found the storied UK producer showcasing some of the most diverse and poignant work of this career. Now to kick off 2015 we see four brand new interpretations courtesy of Dubspeeka, Jamie Stevens, Pedram and Petrels.

Press text: The lone interpretation of 'Some Break' is provided by microCastle label artist Jamie Stevens. The Aussie producer is now making his fourth appearance on the label and first of 2015. Jamie has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his career. As one of Australia's most talented and sought after music producers he has proven his skill in professional sound design, music scores for film and contemporary dance music. As the founding member of Infusion, the much-loved Australian electronic live act, he's left his mark around the globe, headlining some of the biggest and most respected clubs including; Fabric- London, Pacha - Buenos Aires, Womb- Tokyo and festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Roskilde and Creamfields in Moscow, Brazil, UK and Argentina. In his home country, Infusion has received 2 prestigious ARIA awards for their work.  More recently Jamie's discography has been highlighted by a contribution (Prism) to John Digweed and Nick Muir's 'Versus’ album along with 'The Wonder of You', released in 2013 on microCastle, which turned out to be one of his career best pieces of work.  It earned a #1 chart placing in both Tech House and Electronica on Beatport and was widely regarded as one of the year's best releases.  Always a magical remixer Jamie has reinvented the sparkling, melodic 'Some Break' into a stomping techno beast of a record. Already played by Jeremy Olander & Guy J at the VH1 Supersonic festival it looks to be one of Jamie's biggest techno productions of the year.

With Guy J’s eagerly anticipated third artist album drawing ever closer on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, the first offering is delivered in the form of three intricately crafted productions titled ‘Nirvana’.

Forever drawing influence from contrasting styles, genres and concepts, Guy J has become synonymous with creating innovative and out of the box productions such as ‘1000 Words’ which received an array of solid reviews from leading publications within the music industry. Traversing through fluttering synth arrangements and atmospheric basslines, the opening production ‘8 Minute Flight’ is the superb beginning for what is set to be another profound chapter in the story of Guy J. A pivotal element of John Digweed’s Bedrock imprint, his forthcoming album is a showcase of all his favored diverse sounds compiled into a two CD’s of the highest caliber.

Never being content with constructing a linear style of productions, ‘Nirvana’s’ euphoric sounding riffs and elegantly composed percussion display Guy J’s versatility as an electronic artist, where as ‘Provokoter’s’ distorted rhythmic composition creates a darkened tone for all those listening. 

Carrying a wealth of experience on his shoulders, coupled with being supported by the underground music’s most profound names, ‘Nirvana’ is a sublime insight to the forthcoming album. Intricately weaving through each track creating an astonishing listening experience like no other, this EP will once again ignite excitement in the global music community that Guy J’s most ground breaking project to date is nearly upon us.
