Partial Press Release: The 44th release on microCastle welcomes Mike Griego to the label for his debut EP. The Argentinean artist closed out 2015 with a remix of Hernan Cattaneo & Guy Mantzur's 'Imaginarium'. That strong momentum continued as 2016 began with his much loved 'Sofia' production being licensed to John Digweed's 'Live In Montreal' mix compilation, released on Bedrock in February of this year. Mike has long been and remains one of his country's most in demand DJs, making regular appearances at Bahrein, La Boite and The Bow. Now presenting his first new productions of 2016 Mike makes his long awaited debut on microCastle with the 'Idioglossia EP', alongside remixes from BOg and Hermanez.

The lone interpretation of 'Idioglossia' is provided by BOg who is making his debut on microCastle. The Romanian born, now France based artist has been one of 2016's most hotly tipped production talents. 2015 proved to be a breakout year for BOg with his 'Drawing Board EP' (some of which in conjunction with Jonas Saalbach) getting released on Bedrock as well as appearances on Get Physical and Alex Niggemann's Soulfooled imprint. The momentous year concluded with a remix of the Bedrock classic 'Emerald'. The contemporary melodic number proved to be one of the winter season's biggest records, setting the stage for 2016 and his much sought after and recently released 'Rewired EP', also courtesy of John Digweed's Bedrock Records. BOg now makes his much anticipated debut on microCastle with a stunning interpretation of 'Idioglossia'. With a deeper, more melodic sensibility BOg has crafted a journey of warm, inviting grooves and layers of hypnotic arps. It's methodical progression builds to an intense yet emotive breakdown, blending in the main motifs and setting up a stellar third act bound for many magical dance floor moments. BOg's thoughts on the remix "Mike Griego is a top producer and his tracks are always inspiring. It didn't take long for me to decide on the remix, I listened to it once and really believed in the story behind it, I wanted to do it instantly."

Alex Jimenez’s journey into DJing began at 17, when he was snuck into a Deep Therapy event—a night that left a lasting impression. More than just a party, Deep Therapy was one of Ottawa’s most respected underground gatherings: the kind of experience where music, production, and atmosphere all align. That night opened his ears to the deeper, groovier, and more soulful side of electronic music—and quietly sparked an obsession to understand it, then share it.

After years of digging and refining his ear, he stepped into the booth at 22 during Beyond City Beats, the open decks and networking night at City At Night. It was there that he found community, built confidence on pro gear, and began shaping his voice as a DJ.

His first real break came not at home, but abroad—landing a month-long residency at Raindance, a party hostel on Ometepe Island, Nicaragua. Playing Wet Wednesdays and most nights of the week, he learned to read a room, adapt, and build energy from scratch. That experience shaped the way he approaches every set: with patience, intention, and a desire to connect.

Since returning to Ottawa, Alex has played steadily across the city, including a standout opening set for Mustafa Ismaeel at Undercurrent, and slots alongside Mitch Oliver and Tyler Mesa—key voices in Canada’s underground scene.

His sets reflect that same honesty. Deeply tuned into the ever-evolving sounds of the underground, He-Menace blends raw, soulful, genre-blurring selections—always searching for the records you didn’t know you needed to hear. For him, DJing is about curation, storytelling, and staying connected to the pulse of the culture.

A Guernsey based DJ, Toby is recognised for his underground sounds at local clubs, bars and festivals.

Toby is heavily influenced by the deeper side of the underground genre, inspired by labels such as Anjunadeep, Afterlife and Knee Deep In Sound. These unique, deep flavours have become a staple in his sets across the island, providing the Guernsey music scene something fresh and intriguing.

In 2020, Toby co-established Deeper Grooves - an underground movement advocating the deeper essence of house and electronic music, providing many successful events across the local music scene.

This established array of sounds has lead Toby to be a go to name on line ups for local club events and festivals. Most recently playing along side Biscits (Solotoko) and having a short residency at AC Bar Beach Club in Koh Tao, Thailand.
