This week we have an exclusive session with the Argentinian producer Sebastian Olano (@sebastianolano),   Seba has been in love with music and musical instruments since a very young age.    His tracks are stamped by a fusion of techno and house grooves giving him his own style and characteristic sound, he edited his first tracks back on 2013 for Someone Else and Butane’s Little Helpers, a wise move that led him to capture the attention of artists such as Troy Pierce, Miro Pajic, Marco Carola who have already been playing his productions, currently Sebastian has released over 43 tracks in label’s such as Mike Kobzar's Minim.all, Hermine Records, Doma Musique, Malicious Smiles, Krad Records, Natural Beat Recordings, etc.    This impressive session from the Argentinean artists is not different from what we have mentioned, fit this four words in your mind Groovy-Deep-Hypnotic-Mental.

On this episode we invited Katharine Abrahams from Motion:Theory (@katharine-motiontheory), sublime sounds and hypnotic funk stimulate her being, compelling her to source, mix and access dimensions too many to mention. A natural curator, the journey is micro, psychedelic, soul-stirring and funky; perfect for vibration appreciation in the dance floor sweet spot.

Flipping records and dancing by the side of dj Ben Abrahams for 18 years, their marriage is firmly rooted between decks and dance floor. Their child Eli has lived 6 years of immersion in the most delectable sound waves. They featured on dancefloors back in 2000, as Ben rocked forests and the infamous Melbourne nightclub Onesixone as the Earthcore resident, until a series of adventures found them inhabiting a church in the Byron Bay hills. Children, animals and wild folk were drawn to their all ages acid-house parties at the local Billinudgel Barn, an ecstatic hoe-down to luscious vinyl amidst the surreal Australian bush. Katharine and Ben played records at the early Splendour in the Grass Festivals before moving to Rainbow Bay, to create the freshest experience on the Gold Coast at the infamous Elsewhere Bar.

Katharine danced to Ben's legendary sets, which consistently went off every Saturday for Motion:Theory:Music, from Elsewhere's conception, for 7 years. Dhe played an early set of warm psychedelic house before Ben, and then moved between heaving dance floor and turntables for the spectacularly crazy early morning hours. No words can describe that scene either, but it's imprinted in many memories. Elsewhere won  'Best Music for a Club in Australia' at the Sydney Bar Music Awards at this time.

They are now in Melbourne, where she has dj'd for Killing Time Bar, Black Market, Quality Project, Faceless, Doesnt Matter, Revolver's Mama Said and Mi Casa. Katharine closed the Garden Stage for A Collective Future in the bush, and had everyone vibrating, elevating and connecting. She has created podcasts for Mesa Recordings from Santa Fe, Art-E from Romania podcast and next, she and Ben create for Bonjour Minimal.

Blurring the line between house and techno, their Motion:Theory parties are renowned for involving others who See:With:Their:Ears. Katharine's selections are unique, and mixing style smooth and bass driven. She will twist you new ways with her flow of astral:house. Not one to hold back, whether djing alone or with Ben, she connects the space with energy designed to spiral you up and out.

Die nächste Ausgabe der Jeden Tag ein Set Podcastreihe kommt von Weisser Rabe. Yannick, so sein bürgerlicher Name, startete vor knapp drei Jahren das Projekt und sorgte von Anfang an in der orangen Soundcloud-Wolke für viel Aufsehen. 
Seine stimmigen Sets sind auf jahrelange Erfahrung an den Decks und ein ausgeprägtes musikalischen Gespür zurückzuführen. 
Steht er live an den Decks, schafft er es bereits nach kürzester Zeit das Publikum mit seinem Set mitzureißen und ist daher ein gern gesehen Gast in den Clubs und auf Open Airs von Hamburg über Berlin bis München.

At a young age she started to learn piano and her passion and appreciation for music lead her into the world of Dj'ing. With a keen musical ear and high technical savvy, Oana pushes the boundaries of the House, Tech-House and Techno scene forward in each one of her sets, delivering deep, rich and diverse music that the crowd wants to hear.
 Obsessed with the vibe created when a whole room of people is touched and transported by the power of the music, Oana’s aim is to introduce new and diverse musical innovations to the crowd. Driven by a passion for being a part of that feeling that is shared on the dance floor, what motivates her the most is the reciprocal emotions conceived by the sharing of great music.
 Oana’s style is personal but equally simple and universal. In her sets she dives into peoples memories, feelings and most importantly their happiness; creating a harmony with oneself and whoever is there to experience and share their relationship with the music.

On this new episode of Microtechno Podcast we are proud to present a session with a close friend, this time we brought you a session with one of Chile’s most talented electronic music artists, the Dj and Producer Alejandro Vivanco.    Alejandro was born in Viña del Mar, and since his early childhood, he developed an interest in music, as his father used to play tenor sax and owned a huge jazz records collection.   At the early age of 7 years, he used to spend many hours in front of the stereo.   Later, when he became a teenager, he started playing electric guitar in several school bands, influenced by the music of bands like Sonic Youth, Jesus & Mary chain and Pixies, among others.    Then In 1993, he, and three friends created the band "Pequeñas Particulas”, a cult band in the underground scene of Valparaiso where he played the bass for 7 years.  Meanwhile, around 1996 he started to have an affinity for sound experimentation, that affinity lead him to start developing a close relationship with machines, and conduced him to create his solo project called Telepong, project that had a strong influence from the sounds of Detroit and Acid House.   As he walked the path of electronic music,  he got attracted to the emerging Chilean electronic scene and made him take a step ahead to turntables.  That pavemented his career as a DJ and in 2001 earned him a residency in “Club La Feria” Chile’s battle horse Club, and where he still plays.   In terms of his music style, he define’s it in simple words as "precise rythms with radical sound contrasts and evolving rich grooves.”    In terms of his discography, Alejandro has released in some of the best  labels around, and it wouldn't be fair to mention just a few, so at this time we'll recommend you visiting his full discography at discogs (link bellow).    Alejandro is continuously working on delivering amazing music, so keep an eye on his profile as there are always new releases from his music factory, and certainly they will be available at your closest electronic music vinyl store. He is the owner of Unfelde Records . and has released on labels such as Baile Musik , Minim.all , Melotherapy , Wavetech Limited and Vinyl on Soundterrasse . Born in May 1986 in Brasov, Romania . His first contact with electronic music was in 1994, "I can say that I'm in deep love with electronic music..and she is my mistress" . Later on 2008, he started playing. Since then, he has been listened to several styles within the subgenera’s of techno and house, but an affinity for Minimal and Techno is more than clear . He has shared the decks with Dj's like Maya Jane Coles , Claude VonStroke , Dirty Culture ,Optick , Mahony , Rhadow , Andrey Pushkarev , Federicho Locchi , and many others as well as performing for many radio shows across Europe. Unsere Nummer 34 kommt von RS63. Die Gründer des Labels Grossstadtvögel, haben mit diesem Set mal wieder bewiesen, dass sie ein feines Gespür für Musik haben und das in jeglichen Situationen wiedergeben können. Natürlich haben wir auch wieder ein Interview führen können.

1. Wie und wann seid ihr zur elektronischen Musik gekommen?

Wir sind vor Jahren gemeinsam zum feiern gegangen und haben schnell gemerkt, wie ähnlich unsere Geschmäcker im Bezug auf elektronische Musik sind. Besonders der legendäre Berliner Club "Maria" am Ostbahnhof und natürlich das "Fusion Festival" haben unser Musikverständnis nachhaltig geprägt. Es war eine rauschende Zeit, mit vielen Erfahrungen und Erlebnissen die wir gebraucht und genossen haben. Musik war für uns nicht nur ein Grund zu feiern und die Nächte durchzuziehen, sondern auch ein Ventil durch was wir sehr viel über uns und die Szene gelernt haben. Vieles veränderte sich in den kommenden Jahren und wir bemerkten, dass die Musik, die wir mochten, immer weniger wurde. Die Folge dessen war dann, dass wir angefangen haben, sie selber zu spielen und uns unser Ventil wieder zu beschaffen. 

2. Welche musikalischen Momente sind euch besonders in Erinnerung geblieben?

Wenn wir ehrlich sind, waren es nicht einzelne Momente, sondern ganze Abschnitte in den Jahren, in denen wir durch die Clubs gezogen sind. Wenn es einen Moment gegeben hat, der uns noch heute zum schmunzeln bringt, dann die Fusion 2011 mit Rene Bourgeois auf der ehemaligen Tanzwiese. Er spielte ein Set runter, was uns dermaßen fesselte und uns einfach nicht los gelassen hat. Es war wie ein Rausch, der nicht enden wollte, wir wurden wie von einer Welle erfasst und einfach mitgerissen mit einer angenehmen Wucht. Das war der so genannte "Flow" den Rene uns mit seinem Set uns geliefert hat oder lieferten wir ihn? 

3. Wo konnte man euch bisher antreffen?

Hauptsächlich natürlich in Berliner Clubs wie "Magdalena", "Suicide", "Gretchen"  u.s.w. aber auch OpenAirs gehören dazu. Darüber hinaus sind wir auch auf Festivals unterwegs gewesen, wie das "Zurück zu den Wurzeln" was wirklich eine wahnsinnig tolle Erfahrung war. Letztes Jahr haben wir unsere erste Bootsparty auf der Spree bespielen dürfen, das Berlin "Summer Boat" hat uns eingeladen auch dieses Jahr wieder dabei zu sein. Der exotischste Ort war "Nicaragua", dort haben wir in mehren Clubs gespielt und sogar auf einer privaten Insel wo eine inoffizielle Mega Party gefeiert wurde, das werden wir wohl nie vergessen. Wir freuen uns auf das was da noch alles kommt und hoffen noch einiges bespielen zu dürfen. 

4. Welche Zukunftspläne habt ihr?

Wir wollen ganz klar noch mehr spielen als zuvor und am liebsten auch in anderen Städten und Ländern. Es ist immer schön seinen Koffer zu packen und mit einer gewissen Aufregung, an einen Ort zu fahren, den man noch nicht kennt. Jedes mal sind wir mega nervös und fragen uns ob die Leute dort unsere Musik auch mögen, bisher hat das ganz gut geklappt. 
Wir sind gerade im Studio und sitzen an unseren ersten Produktionen, wann diese allerdings die Öffentlichkeit zu hören bekommen, ist noch nicht klar. Wir lassen uns Zeit dabei, denn wir sind in der Hinsicht sehr streng und Anspruchsvoll. 
Eine Sache gibt es, die uns immer im Hinterkopf herumschwirrt. Wir wollen irgendwann auf der "Tanzwiese" (aktuell Tanzwüste) spielen, am Besten noch dazu einen RS63-Moment schaffen.
