PREMIERE : Gregor Tresher & Petar Dundov – A Dark Fable [GTO Recordings]

Indira has enlisted the trusted services of Dubfire, Marco Faraone and Flug for the killer 6th instalment of the labels creative DUO release series, out on Thursday the 14th August.

At the pinnacle of his games for 30 years, Dubfire needs little introduction. A Grammy winner and maker of classics such as ‘Emissions’ and ‘Ribcage’, the SCI+TEC label founder, and other half of the legendary duo ‘Deep Dish’, Dubfire will make his ARTCORE debut with his long-time collaborator Flug, before joining Indira for her residency at Hï Ibiza on 5TH September joining Cera Khin and Gray Cosmo.

Dubfire and Flug partner up on ‘In Trance’ to deliver a pacy, chugging composition fraught with cosmic tension throughout. A brewing concoction of galactic undertones and driving grooves, the track embodies the heady trance spirit present in much of ARTCORE’s back catalogue whilst still retaining the darker styles of its creators.

Prolific producer Marco Faraone is credited with over 50 releases on a host of key electronic record labels such as Rekids, Drumcode as well as his own UNCAGE imprint. However, his contribution to the forthcoming DUO release will be the first outing for the Tuscan-born house and techno maestro on Indira’s ARTCORE. His opening track, ‘Killa’ stalks into existence in cold and calculated fashion. An undeniable creeper, it features a dark low-end that methodically develops amidst a sparce soundscape of marching drum patterns, churning bass chords and simmering pad effects.

Marco’s second track on the EP titled ‘Artcore Sessions’, pays homage to the label’s ethos. Employing the vocal talents of H.A.N whose sonorous vocals bob along upon swells of shadowy synth lines, choppy percussive drive and kick heavy breakdowns.

Flug first appeared on ARTCORE in 2024 with his track ‘Racing Cars’. That same year, the Argentine released Magma EP with Dubfire marking the pair’s first collaboration and precursor to their debut DUO release. In August, he also made his debut for Indira’s residency at Hï Ibiza playing alongside Ben Klock, Clara Cuvé, and Nuke.

The second collab track with Dubfire, which also closes out this talent heavy EP comes in the form of ‘Weightless’. They both fuse tensely wound rhythms, off-kilter chords and serene pad effects to concoct a breezy, gravity defying composition that showcases both producer’s ability to craft nuanced electronic music to rival that of the more pummelling.

MMYYLO is a French producer who has created a niche within techno for his
distinctive approach, fusing analogue synthesizers, guitars, haunting vocals, and
hypnotic rhythms. Here he drops two tracks for Oliver Huntemann’s relentless
Senso Sounds imprint, perfectly merging his own aesthetics with the label’s philosophy.
Innelvisun is a deeply grooving techno burner built around a perfectly crafted arp
sequence that mutates over the track’s run time.
Innelvistep continues the journey with another killer arpeggiated synth from
MMYYLO’s preferred Juno-60, and with the layering of washes and pads builds up
an intense and thrilling vibe.
Of these two tracks MMYYLO states: "I built these tracks following my usual
process. First, I look for inspiration on the synthesizer I always use the Juno-60.
Once the arps are in place, I focus on the vocals and their effects. Then I look for
a guiding line with effects, harmonies, etc. Both tracks were created at the same
time, based on the same foundations. I always try to maintain a groovy, danceable,
and dark atmosphere”.

MMYYLO - Innelvistep

We welcome French artist Electric Rescue - know for his releases on Cocoon, Boys Noize, Bedrock +++ - who was the perfect match for a technoid remix approach of "Solitone". His version of "Solitone" is a tripped down beat version that uses parts of the original basseline but adds a lot of manipulated sounds, vocals to create a peak time monster of a techno tool.

Interstellar, planetary, spacious revolving sounds... Microtrauma’s opening track "Solitone" starts with a period of naked drum patterns which give way to craftily build up architectural patterns all done with an exceptional lightness that shows why Microtrauma have advanced to a powerful role on the label Traum. 

Microtrauma’s quality is to touch but not be captured or pinned down by a genre or category. Their unpredictability is not to be predicted... so gently are their changes so superb are their continuous modes… their magic is their art. 

This release is all about making the right marks in a pure and heavy techno beat and slowly building it up creating a bit of a picture

This applies also to "Trigone" and therefore this track works hand in hand with "Solitone"."Trigone" builds things up but then kills everything off as if there had never been any proceedings this is a great and fresh way of composing music introducing an anachronistic language it shows there is still a lot of ways you can stay true to techno ideas. In the course of the track patterns and melodies start to repeat and you can recognize a logic in all of it and this is what Microtrauma realize... at some point things have to match to create euphoria. So "Trigone" rides the waves and does this in a sexy way, elegant and always on top of all this, sometimes even staring at the clouds for a split second, not cock sure but with a certain self confidence that rides. This track rocks.

The well known Traum artist Fairmont aka Jacob Fairley who released on the Traum 100 anniversary release... has taken on the challenge to remix "Solitone" doing his twists of sequences and painting his melodies so lush and airy that its mood is a totally different one being more deep and psychedelic. This is a masterpiece of a remix... alls so perfectly timed and naturally you would think he had been part of the original production itself.

In 1995 simple tracker software got the interest of the two friends Daniel and Ricardo. Thus, they decided to produce a few tracks.
Both shared a common passion for all sorts of different musical styles, which made their early productions very diverse.
Through the many influences of artists from New Order and Depeche Mode to Massive Attack, The Prodigy, Moby and the various techno disciples
of this multi-faceted time, the two of them produced everything they enjoy, be it trip hop, electronica, breaks or techno.

However, in 1999 the two of them went separate ways for reasons of diverging careers.
They quickly lost touch to each other until the contact ceased completely. Yet, the two of them still wished to produce music.
This is why both of them kept working with synthesizers, music software and studio technology creating their own tracks.

In 2003, it was coincidence that brought them back together.
The two friends met again at a small local electro party and soon realised that they still shared the same interest for electronic music as they had four years earlier.
After a few sessions in their domestic living room studios they decided to make more of their hobby and, thus, started renting their first studio in 2005.
Microtrauma was born.

In 2007, Microtrauma had its first release “Wake up“ on the Elected Tunes label. Their first own release “Collar EP” soon was to follow.
Microtrauma has developed its own style from almost ten years of working and tinkering as well as its many influences: melodic, dark, technoid and minimal.
