Em nosso lançamento de estréia, orgulhosamente apresentamos uma coletânea com 8 pérolas do techno distópico, produzidas exclusivamente por artistas brasileiros. Começamos com a faixa-titulo de Paulo Foltz, “Ignis”, com um groove temperamental e um break absolutamente apaixonante. Na sequência, temos “Bhaskara” do duo paulista Algebra com um ótimo contraste entre grooves retos e atmosfera brilhante. “Aesthetic”, do projeto carioca Against the Time é uma jornada evolutiva, nos guiando a partir um inicio sombrio até o apogeu luminoso e redentor. Seguimos então com o duo catarinense Obscure Sense entregando a obra prima 'Echoes', que com certez a arrancará arrepios nas pistas mundo afora com sua energia avassaladora. Distopia total! Nossa marcha ganha velocidade e timbres ácidos com “Black Lights”, de Be_bop, capixaba radicado na cidade do Porto. Temos também KaioBarssalos vs. Guille Iacobucci em sua primeira colaboração, “R-nt”, marcada por batidas intensas, profundas e melancólicas. Em “Patterns Of Eternity”, Phouz nos coloca em contato com vidas passadas, uma verdadeira sensação de epifania. Finalizamos com Matheus Zanetti, que em seu primeiro trabalho “Distant Nebula” já nos mostra bastante personalidade e capacidade criativa.

Soulful Techno no. 10 is another really special journey that we are looking forward to share with you.

I can tell from my experience, that the simple things in life are the most extraordinary experiences that come by, knock very softly and make those playful sparkles in your heart. 
Traces is a really deep and emotional story created by Ryan Davis and Microtrauma. Their sounds took me back to the forest walks around the house, while i was simply sitting on the steps of our garden, with a warm coup of tea. Its simplicity reminded me of all those little miracles that pass by me every day, take me to this very moment of my being and connect. Like the biggest snowflakes that were falling down the sky yesterday morning, or the warm sounds of twinkling bells in the garden saying their hellos to the gentle winds passing by. And all those birds that came to play and sing around our house today in the early morning. I sadly wonder, how many of those little miracles pass me by and i don´t get time to feel them, because i worry.
I worry about the to-do lists, about leaving something meaningful behind, i worry that i am to slow and that it is hard sometimes to follow the pace of the world... 

And than the break comes. 
And tells me that it is all good. That it is ok to let go, to take my own pace and trust the uniqueness of experience.

He opened a brand new soundscape, different palette of emotions and playful melodies. That reminds me on what is there, on the other side of all those fears, when you simply open up and let go.

In 1995 simple tracker software got the interest of the two friends Daniel and Ricardo. Thus, they decided to produce a few tracks.
Both shared a common passion for all sorts of different musical styles, which made their early productions very diverse.
Through the many influences of artists from New Order and Depeche Mode to Massive Attack, The Prodigy, Moby and the various techno disciples
of this multi-faceted time, the two of them produced everything they enjoy, be it trip hop, electronica, breaks or techno.

However, in 1999 the two of them went separate ways for reasons of diverging careers.
They quickly lost touch to each other until the contact ceased completely. Yet, the two of them still wished to produce music.
This is why both of them kept working with synthesizers, music software and studio technology creating their own tracks.

In 2003, it was coincidence that brought them back together.
The two friends met again at a small local electro party and soon realised that they still shared the same interest for electronic music as they had four years earlier.
After a few sessions in their domestic living room studios they decided to make more of their hobby and, thus, started renting their first studio in 2005.
Microtrauma was born.

In 2007, Microtrauma had its first release “Wake up“ on the Elected Tunes label. Their first own release “Collar EP” soon was to follow.
Microtrauma has developed its own style from almost ten years of working and tinkering as well as its many influences: melodic, dark, technoid and minimal.
