Gareth Morris (GwEm) has left a deep landmark on the chipmusic culture. His music-editor maxYMizer inspired many new talents to compose chipmusic for the Atari STe. As musician he is deeply rooted in the sounds of Acid, Dub, Hardcore, but also in Hardrock and Metal. Here you get some of his greatest classics he composed over the past years for the ym-chip.

This is the ingame soundtrack for "Heli in the Caves" - an Atari XL/XE game by H.A.R. The song is a 3-channel Pokey track as one channel was reserved for sound effects.

My tiny contribution for the music competition at the Sommarhack 2014 Demoparty. Ended up 5th place (which sounds far better than last place ;)

Gunnar Gaubatz (Big Alec) is one of the classic composer on the Atari ST and raised the level of Chipsound on the YM a bit higher in the early nineties. He was very eager with producing accurate chip-drums which sounds nearly like sampled. This was before the scene opened up and new programming-techniques evolved. Hiw works are still outstanding in comparison. With "Prophecy" he has managed to incorporate new techniques, he called it his crown-jewel, his magnus-opus.

Something different from me, this time on small Atari with two POKEY chips.

This is an afterparty version. Minor detunes fix plus 30% stereo separation applied. No other effects. No samples. Written on Raster Music Tracker 1.27p4 patched by Analmux. Recorded with Atari800WinPlus emulator

The original tune took 2nd place (out of 11) at Silly Venture 2011 Atari Party 10-14 Nov 2011 in Gdańsk/Poland.  Written live at the party.
