Biography:
Wir schreiben das Jahr 1985 an dem der junge Vollblutmusiker aus der Slowakei Rőth Balázs aka Balien das Licht der Welt erblickte. Bereits mit 12 Jahren entdeckte er seine Leidenschaft zur elektronischen Musik, weshalb er in seinem Heimat seit 2007 als DJ unterwegs war. 
Dabei hatte er es in seiner Vergangenheit alles andere als leicht, denn der Zugang zur elektronischen Musik war wesentlich schwerer als hier im Technoland Deutschland, da man dort vergeblich nach Vorbildern oder gar Mentoren sucht. Balien blieb nichts anderes übrig als sich das Handwerk zum Djing erstmal selber beizubringen. Der Erfolg ließ nicht lange auf sich warten und der frisch gebackene Dj tourte durch zahlreiche Länder wie Ungarn, Slowakei und Österreich. Sein Auftritt 2010 beim Dj Camp veränderte seinen Zugang zur technoiden Szene enorm und Dj Größen wie Jay Lumen oder Snake Cedrick boten ihm die Bühne, die er brauchte. Als Resident im Palace Club in Siófok trafen sich rund um Balien junge Talente, um die nächste Generation der Djs zu werden. 

Seit diesem Zeitpunkt ging es steil bergauf. Neben zahlreichen weiteren gewonnenen Dj Contests (Tata Contest Budapest, Viewer Choice, Special Awards), schlug der junge Dj seit 2011 den Weg des Producers ein, um seinen Sound auf Plattformen wie Beatport, juno und traxsource zu verbreiten. Seine Produktionen sind geprägt von zahlreichen Kollaborationen unter anderem mit Paola Poletto, Daniel Boon, Oliver Tatsch, Sikztah , Coyote, Damolh33, Loco Dice, Darko De Jan, Jay Lumen, Alex Piccini, Muzikfabrik, Collective Machine. Nun hat der erfolgreiche Musiker seinen Weg nach Deutschland gefunden, wo er mit seinen ausgeklügelten Deep und Techhouse Sound vor allem die Regensburger Clubs und Festivals unsicher macht. Wer ihn kennt - der liebt ihn! Und wer ihn noch nicht gehört hat, der sollte sich so schnell wie möglich Kopfhörer zulegen sowie zuhören. Es ist sein ganz spezieller Sound, der Balien zu etwas  Besonderem macht. Wenn man ihm zuhört spürt man regelrecht, dass sein Sound nicht der aktuellen „Mainstream-Rave-Welle“ entspringt, sondern direkt aus seinem Herzen kommt. Melodisch und gleichzeitig groovig-treibend - Das ist Balien. Na Lust bekommen? Der Sommer steht vor der Tür und der Besuch auf einem der Open Airs lohnt sich, denn Balien wird da sein.

We were first drawn by the sound. 
From far away, the thunderous, muffled, echoing beat was comparable to a mother's heart soothing a child in her womb of concrete, steel, and electrical wiring.

We were drawn back into this womb, and there, in the heat, dampness, and darkness of it we came to accept that we are all equal. 
Not only to the darkness, and to ourselves, but to the very music slamming into us and passing through our souls: we are all equal.
And somewhere around 35 Hz we could feel the hand of God at our backs, pushing us forward, pushing us to push ourselves to strengthen our minds, our bodies, and our spirits,
pushing us to turn to the person beside us to join hands and uplift them by sharing the uncontrollable joy we felt from creating this magical bubble that can, for one evening, protect us from the horrors, atrocities, and pollution of the outside world. It is in that very instant, with these initial realizations that each of us was truly born.

We continue to pack our bodies into clubs, or warehouses, or buildings you've abandoned and left for naught, and we bring life to them for one night.
Strong, throbbing, vibrant life in it's purest, most intense, most hedonistic form.
In these makeshift spaces, we seek to shed ourselves of the burden of uncertainty for a future you have been unable to stabilize and secure for us.
We seek to relinquish our inhibitions, and free ourselves from the shackles and restraints you've put on us for your own peace of mind.
We seek to re-write the programming that you have tried to indoctrinate us with since the moment we were born.

Programming that tells us to hate, that tells us to judge, that tells us to stuff ourselves into the nearest and most convenient pigeon hole possible. Programming that even tells us to climb ladders for you, jump through hoops, and run through mazes and on hamster wheels.
Programming that tells us to eat from the shiny silver spoon you are trying to feed us with, instead of nourish ourselves with our own capable hands.
Programming that tells us to close our minds, instead of open them.

Until the sun rises to burn our eyes by revealing the dis-utopian reality of a world you've created for us, we dance fiercely with our sisters and brothers in celebration of our life, of our culture, and of the values we believe in.
