Michigander is a techno, house, and dance label created by Detroit DJ & Producer Brian Kage. It was initially established to showcase how faces and places in Michigan have played a role in influencing Brian's music. Well into double digits now, the label bossman steps up to the plate with a project of a lifetime;  four slabs of vinyl filled to the outer grooves with authentic D Town techno and deep house that will floor you.
Brian Kage is a staple on the Detroit techno and house scene and has consistently pushed the boundaries of electronic music. With a career marked by acclaimed releases and collaborations, Kage's sound is a testament to the rich musical heritage of Detroit. He’s released on Planet-E, Craigie Knowes, We Play House, FXHE, Berettamusic, and of course his own label Michigander. His productions are known for their depth, soul, and technical prowess, making him a respected figure in the global electronic community.
‘Timeless Times’, is a masterful blend of classic house rhythms with the distinct edge of Detroit techno. Through this ambitious 19-track collection, Kage weaves a sonic tapestry through emotional landscapes, marked by ambient, and personal nostalgic vignettes that evoke a sense of timeless musical exploration. Although this is his first solo album, he was not alone on this sonic adventure. Graced from the get-go, 'Blessed' kicks off with an inspirational snippet of speech and gritty drum loop, opening out into the beginnings of this lovestruck summertime heater. Morphing from hip-hop breakbeat into chunky deep house groove, the hypnotic bassline and muted guitar, give a jazz-tinged flavour to 'Blessed'. Third Attempt keeps that live feeling rolling throughout, layering chopped R&B vocals and shimmering keys to add to the ever-infectious vibe.

As well-equipped at soundtracking the hazy hues of a sunset, as it is powering a dancefloor at peak time, 'Blessed' is warmth and weight in equal measure, served up in signature Third Attempt style.

Based in Valencia, Loudeast Records has been putting out quality house business to serious dancefloors since 2006. Founded by seasoned DJ and producer Nacho Marco, the label has played host to KiNK, C-Rock, Duckbeats, Terry Lee Brown Jnr, The Timewriter, Mateo & Matos, Midi Drop Music, Fred Everything and Kiko Navarro himself.  For their next release, Loudeast proudly presents Meloglen, the Mallorcan/ LA duo which is comprised of producer Melchor Rossell who has released on 20:20 Vision, Robsoul, Suara, Liebe & Detail and of vocalist Aqeel, who has worked with the mighty Dr Dre, Mala Rodriguez and Chacho Brodas. Their sound draws heavily on the influences of the legendary Detroit Grand Pubahs, the sultry touch of Moodymann, and the funked-up-ness of Parliaments’ George Clinton.
 
‘Elegant Art’ kicks off in minimal fashion with brooding bassline, and vibey as fuck vocal from Aqeel that dances around with the sparsely placed horns and intermittent effects. On ‘For Hire (Nacho Marco Remix)’, the vocal flow and moody swagger of Aqeel is dialled up to the maximum alongside emotion filled piano house keys. The floor focused ‘Attitude’ picks up the pace and is all about the spoken word (Is Prince in the house?). The original version of ‘For Hire’ is a bumpin’ house beauty that also gets a dubbed out instrumental from label head Nacho Marco who adds elements of crunch to funk up the proceedings.

Minimum Syndicat (also known as MS or M-Syndicat) are two musicians from Paris who have been making electronic noise and live performances for decades. They are known for their very unique mix of acid, rave and industrial on the one hand and cinematic, psychedelic, sci-fi landscapes on the other.

S.C.H.O.R.L. is their first full length album. Like some kind of bleak space opera it tells its story of lonely subaquatic outposts, Soviet droids and mantis-priests gathering.
The core is spaced out electro, but it also has elements of techno, doomcore, breakbeat and industrial, one could say. "At this point subgenres are less important than in the past, it's more like the alternative electronic scene against the industry turning techno into moronic money-driven entertainment.“, they say, and right they are.

The album features two collaborations with French heavyweights Umwelt and Voiron, the artwork comes from the legendary Belgian artist Elzo Durt, who made some of our strongest artworks in the past and who is a fan of Minimum Syndicat himself. The 2x12“ is limited to 100 copies, handnumbered and comes with a silk-screen A2 poster with a version of the artwork.

MS will also be releasing a special series of digital releases called "Mutant Signal“ on their own label.

Anna was born and raised in Berlin, into a family of a musician who exposed her to a diverse range of music genres from a very young age. Her father's art rock band was one of her earliest influences, shaping her understanding of music and its various forms.

Despite living in the techno capital, it was actually during a trip to Munich that Anna was introduced to the world of electronic music. It was here that she discovered the exotic sounds of house music, which proved to be a turning point for her musical journey. She was captivated by the diverse sub-genres within house music, and it became a defining characteristic of her style - constantly diving and resurfacing through a multitude of sub-genres.

After falling in love with the endless possibilities of house music, Anna began DJing in 2012 to share the tracks she had collected and built up over the years. Her goal was to create immersive experiences and take her listeners on unique journeys through her sets. With a passion for music that runs deep, Anna continues to explore and experiment with new sounds, always striving to evolve and push the boundaries of what's possible within electronic music!

Are you ready for the big disaster? The moment when everything unravels?  On their third album, Sex Judas feat. Ricky portrays a break-up of astronomical proportions. The band's mascots, Sex Judas and Ricky, embodied by artist Sindre Goksøyr, find themselves in the midst of a separation, and their feelings are sprayed all over the big screen.   But what is actually going on? Sex Judas feat. Ricky consists of the musicians Tore Gjedrem (Ost & Kjex), Sidiki Camara, Ivar Winther, Tracee Meyn, Tore Brevik, Kristian Edvardsen and Linn Nystadnes, a stellar team part of Oslo's musical underground. Together, they play a mixture of funk, disco, post-punk, traditional music from Mali and electronica that always moves the dance floor, with two previous critically acclaimed albums on the Scottish Optimo Music and a Norwegian Grammy to show.  Sex Judas’ third album, ‘The Book Of Dreams / After Sex’, is a double disc and a two-part musical affair. In the first part, Sex Judas' version of the breakup is depicted in a band format, with music inspired by the alternative 80s. Think Grace Jones, Tom Tom Club, DAF, No Wave, and the Compass Point Studio backing band in a blissful cocktail. In part two, depicting Ricky’s breakdown, the band has created their most experimental music to date in close collaboration with contemporary composer Ole-Henrik Moe. The songs influenced by Ole-Henrik's tones are fluid and beautifully ambient, with inspiration ranging from 30s and 40s film music,  Norwegian folk, contemporary electronica and IDM topped with Moe’s modern string arrangements.” - Snick Snack Music

DJ duo Studio Batsumi (aka Federico Bigonzetti & Marta Paccagnella) reveal details for the first release of their self-titled joint label venture with five-track EP Cosmicomics. The first musical outing from the pair’s new imprint, Studio Batsumi are set to release their original records via the label, as well as offering a platform for burgeoning artists to release their music. With a focus on analogue, for the first few months all releases will be vinyl only (exclusively via Bandcamp). Making the natural step up from selectors and musicians to bona fide label bosses, founding the label marks a new beginning for the pair.

Known for their genre-defying DJ sets, regularly appearing at London’s most reputable listening bars such as Spiritland, Brilliant Corners and Supermax, as well as club previous shows at The Ton of Brix, The Jago, Cafe 1001 and The Waiting Room, the Studio Batsumi imprint plans to follow suit, genre-fluid while sonically defined, much like the pair’s DJ offering.

With the launch EP Cosmicomics written and produced by Federico alongside Parisian guitarist, producer and sound engineer Maxime Obadia, the varying musical backgrounds of the two artists demonstrates this versatile aesthetic for the label expertly, with Fede rooted in electronic and Maxime’s rock background working in harmony on the EP. Combining live instruments with drum machines, synths and a host of genre influences. Artists such as such The Pilotwings, GHF, Kalbata, YuSu, and L’Éclair have been cited as influences on the first EP.

Featuring three original tracks, a remix from esteemed Turkish DJ and producer Jonny Rock and one of Federico’s own versions on B2, the tracks range from bassline-driven downtempo chuggers, dreamy guitar riffs, trippy arpeggios and distorted, wonky pads for a rich and eclectic sound palette to work on and off the dancefloor. Texturised layers of live instrumentation and analogue equipment further enhance the organic and unique quality of Studio Batsumi sound.

With an artist-first approach, Studio Batsumi releases will be on a limited 300-press run, sold exclusively via Bandcamp. To celebrate the launch of the label, on Saturday 13 April the duo will host an in store at Hidden Sounds in Dalston, with the party carrying on at Brilliant Corners where the pair will play a special all-night-long set.
