Using both analog and digital equipment, new and old techniques to capture a unique sound through its recording process. With their first release in May, and touring in late 2017, BLACK LINE continues to define its signature sound.

Rex The Dog makes and performs music with analogue electronics and a self-built Modular Synthesizer. 

He carries this precious machinery around the world, bringing his idiosyncratic sounds to packed crowds at the best clubs, festivals and parties.
In the last 18 months this has included everywhere from Berlin’s hallowed Panorama Bar, to an intimate pop up gig in a Barcelona record store.

SOLARCITY is the name i use for fronting my music. So who is SOLARCITY then? The man behind the music of SOLARCITY is Allan Dean, hailing from Scotland / UK. My musical past is now very varied and i have over the last 15 years had a lot of tracks over various music hosting sites, but I have kind of settled here on the cloud, to date i have roughly 6,500,000 plays and downloads in total which I am chuffed with as it means my music is getting out there and obviously listened to, which is my goal.
I like a lot of styles but usually prefer the electronic / synth genre and listen to anything from Kraftwerk / Tangerine Dream / Andy Pickford / Synthetik / Gary Numan / Vangelis / JMJ / I also like classic C64 SID chip tunes from the masters like Rob Hubbard and Martin Galway etc, right up to modern cult artists like Armin Van Buuren, Daniel Kandi, Super8 & tab, Above & Beyond, Rank 1 and Ferry Corsten, the list is endless!!!....all these bands have influenced my musical style and approach greatly.

SOLARCITY's vision combines the driving forces of trance / electronic / synth music and shakes them into the ultimate electro cocktail with hard, fast and kicking basslines and drums with soaring lead lines and melodies................ all of these elements when combined make the tracks memorable and foot tapping at the same time! (I hope...lol.

As for the future I look forward to seeing what this brings sonically both professionally in what i buy / listen to and amateur production wise in what i create, all the best everyone:)

 I feel that musically I have had to make a transition as I lost a lot of data and sounds due to a computer crash, because of this I have new sounds and a new vision, who knows what changes will happen??

To date i have had 7 tracks signed to 2 small euro labels as SOLARCITY and have been featured on iTunes, Audiojelly and Junobeats etc, but as for the future who knows??....this so far has definately been a hobby more than a career aspiration, my love of music comes first before all, enjoy the ride:)&#13;
