Jesse Scott of Summer Channel and MIDIhead proudly present a new patch library for Omnisphere 2 called “Robotica.” In it, you’ll find ominous drones, atmospheric pads, spaced-out sound effects, ethereal and epic synths, interesting robotic effects and textures, vocoder sound bites, and BPM-locked movers.

Robotica is a professional producer’s toolbox of sounds that will help you construct your next sci-fi soundtrack, or add futuristic flare to any type of electronic music. Robotica will transport you from low earth orbit to voracious black holes in distant luminous galaxies in a mere instant, and provide you with endless options for blending atmospheric textures in new and unusual ways.

At the heart of Robotica is over 400 MB of brand new, never released source material derived from popular modern analog synths, vocoders, guitars, time-stretched vocals and sound fx, as well as a few other boutique digital sources. Every sample was meticulously recorded at 48/24 (with some at 96/24) and processed for maximum sound quality.

Yamaha and Muse Receptor sponsored artist Andrew Colyer has played piano, keyboards, trumpet, and sung across the United States, Canada, and Japan, including three times at Carnegie Hall.  His classical training includes the Juilliard School, and his teaching lineage places him five steps down from Beethoven.

Rock/pop experience includes performing and collaborating with Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson), Jon Anderson (YES), The Tubes, Ryche Chlanda (Fireballet, Renaissance), Max Flyer (CBS Records), 10th Planet, the Prog Rock Orchestra, Circuline, and the Progressive Rock Tribute Band, Downing Grey.

With regards to jazz and big band music, Andrew has performed with Clark Terry, Louis Bellson, Marvin Stamm, Nick Brignola, and the Avalon Jazz Quartet.

Andrew has composed original music for commercial radio and video, and for Indie film producer Luke Franek’s award-winning film, “Tingle”.

You might have seen Andrew singing and playing keyboards on the “iProg – Your Classic Prog Playlist on Shuffle” tour with Downing Grey during 2013.  Andrew recently performed on keyboards/vocals with the Prog Rock Orchestra on the Moody Blues Cruise and the Yes-headlining Cruise To The Edge in April 2014.  One of the core members of the modern progressive rock band Circuline, Andrew has been performing live on keyboards/vocals with Circuline since November 2014, and composed/performed on Circuline’s debut album (released April 2015).  Andrew is currently scheduled to perform live at the 2016 NAMM convention in Anaheim, California.

In addition to group collaborations, Andrew also composes and performs his own original music.  His first CD, Gift to Gaia (co-produced with Lilli Farrell for Japanese popular artist Kirk Reinert), toured Japan and sold over 3000 copies.  The latest CD of original music from Andrew, About Time, was released December 2014.  He lives between New York City and Woodstock.

Michael (MIDIhead) Babbitt is a Los Angeles-based electronic music writer, remixer, producer, vocalist, and DJ. From the age of 8, he knew what he wanted to do. It was then that he first recognized music's cognitive and spiritual power, and envisioned a day where he would create it. At the age of 14 he began his musical endeavors as a DJ for a local radio station by day, and as a mobile DJ by night after finding professionals willing to train him on these crafts. By age 18 he was spinning vinyl at a popular local night club in his home town. But spinning other people's music wasn't his dream, so he fronted a band that eventually led him to perform for thousands.

Michael was awarded "Best Album of 2001" for his debut solo album "Power Undiminished" at The American Synthpop Awards in Hollywood. It was front man Kurt Harland from the 80's band Information Society who presented him with the award. After moving to Los Angeles, Michael shifted his role in music production to focus on media. His first track was heard in Fox's "Dark Angel", followed by landing a "Matrix Reloaded" movie trailer which opened up the floodgates for other television shows such as "Access Hollywood", "Dexter", "CSI" series, "America's Next Top Model", and "Prison Break", among others. His high energy remixes and original music has also been featured in Konami's popular Dance, Dance, Revolution video game series.

Michael has has recorded with artists Shane Gibson (Korn), Peter DiStefano (Porno For Pyros), and worked with Grammy nominated DJ: Kaskade, as well as Kaskade's side-project Late Night Alumni.
