„At The Lake" seems to be an ambient cinematic track until the kickdrum appears. The field recordings Frederik Neu recorded in the nature of Canada play a big role in the track as well as the synth sounds, especially the Prophet Rev2 Synthesizer was a big inspiration. Subtile changes in harmony fulfill the magic atmosphere.
The track is made more conceptual and can be divided into parts. After the intro and a short break the mood changes and the track becomes more playful. Another change happens later when the 303 bassline emerges.

Society is in crisis - and we need guidance. The Phantom Whistler is the Australian mystic and gun for hire blazing trails across the untamed Wild West.

He was last seen as one half of The Lone Wranglers, a duo dabbling with psychedelia and deep house rooted in ‘Way of the Cowboy’ ('one of the most creative albums of the 2020' — Electronic Groove). This time he rides solo, unleashing a modern spaghetti western that dares to ask questions.

Uone has graced us with a modern rarity: a 15-track full-length concept album, ‘Phantom Whistler’, that pays homage to the Wild West.

Across Phantom Whistler you'll find a cinematic saga. Mind-expanding house and warm electronic ambience transmit with pacifying effect, and Uone juxtaposes moments of solitude and calm with a spiritual groove to preach a righteous truth. It's an organic sound, one leathered in the sun and rinsed in the open plain rivers.

Provocative guitars, harmonicas and indiscriminate field recordings are pulled together by the outlaw's call card: a clear, crystallised frequency; a whistle born during cold nights next to warm campfires. Make no mistake: this right here is an aural tonic, a soundtrack to the greatest medicine ceremony ever assembled.

Mixed by Australian engineering legend Danny Bonnici in Dolby Atmos, a revolutionary spatial audio technology for the most immersive sound experience, the Phantom Whistler LP will unfurl itself over the course of three months: a new chapter every 3 weeks.

Alongside the album a collection of music videos and animations will accompany created by Australia's leading projection artist Nick Azidis: expect a pastiche filled mood, with atmospheric transformations, nostalgia, and abstract forms. This is more than music, it's an artistic manifesto brave enough to buck the trend.

While seeking adventure in France, the Phantom Whistler crossed paths with a saxophone-playing melomaniac. The result: interlude number three; a gorgeous one-take field recording called 'The Frenchman's Rest', its velvet tones a refuge from the cold urban noise.

Promotext: Baikal Nomads presents a majestic organic house release made in collaboration by Veytik and Stephane Salerno, and it also features spellbinding individual remixes from AmuAmu and MI.LA.

Veytik and Stephane Salerno have previously teamed up to drop stunning tracks on labels like House Music With Love, Cafe De Anatolia and Art Vibes Music. They are also solo artists who each have a prolific back catalogue of exquisite music. The EP’s title tracks is a collaboration, and the other a solo production by Veytik.

Hailing from America, Veytik lives in New York where he is well known within the city's vibrant underground club scene. His revitalising style infuses ethereal sound design with uplifting melodies and shuffling percussion rhythms. Veytik has previously featured on Baikal Nomads along with other imprints such as Shango Records, Harabe and Click Records.

Stephane Salerno is a French artist from the city of Marseille who has a cinematic style influenced by Arabic chords to create nomadic vibes inspired by desert dwellers. Infused with organic percussion, he has released music on labels ranging from Pipe & Pochet to KataHaifisch.

On remix duty, AmuAmu has a mesmerising sound with downtempo grooves that have trippy atmosphere, and he has dropped reworks on prestigious imprints such as Cosmic Awakenings, Copycow and Underyourskin Records.

Providing the other remix, MI.LA delivers a rework in the heart-warming style she has previously released via Baikal Nomads and other respected record labels including the likes of Exotic Refreshment, Lump Records and Camel Riders.

The original mix of "Slither" opens the release with hallucinogenic synths that fill the track with psychedelic vibes, while the breezy pads create uplifting atmosphere. Its chugging groove and downtempo rhythms give the track an expansive sound that's truly mesmerising.

"Soul" is the solo track by Veytik, and it has shimmering pads and profound vocals that harmonise with other lyrical tones. Electric guitar chords and sweeping strings add to the unfolding majesty that is created by the immersive atmosphere of this epic cut.

MI.LA's remix of Slither focuses on the original's angelic vocals and emotive piano chords to create a streamlined version with a raised tempo and melodic groove.

AmuAmu's remix of Slither adds moody atmosphere and new melody synths that add to the mind-bending vibe of this psychoactive rework.
