The former Frankfurt boy has become a Berlin regular playing at Marlon Hoffstadt's phone-free “Savour The Moment” series and with his own event “Guilty Pleasure” at Paloma Bar (Berlin). He’s notorious for endless closing sets. His sound is described as deep space astrofunk and italo disco with synthesizer induced orgasms courtesy, weaved together into an exuberant mix jam-packed with synths, vocoders, and 808’s. #47 Philipp Schultheis - DISCOnnect cast

In this episode I invited @jakobmaeder to contribute a mix to Palm Paradise! He is a Stuttgart based DJ and producer who also performs live. His musical interest spans across different genres: ambient, disco, house, acid, and sometimes even techno inspired music.

He plays regularly at Romantica, Dresden Bar and some other bars and clubs in Stuttgart. Together with his crew Midnight Service he organises events with artists such as Johannes Albert, Philipp Schultheis or Panthera Krause, just to name a few. 

Ranging from reduced ambient to classic house inspired deep house or experimental breakbeat productions, his output as a producer reflects his eclectic taste as a DJ. Besides crafting his very own tracks, cheerful disco tracks result from his artistic work every now and then. 

He started his own label Constant Change in 2021.

Ihr Stil ist schnell und süß, immer verfeinert mit einer Prise Humor. Musik ist für ANKA in erster Linie Befreiung und Selbstermächtigung. Beeinflusst von Tanz und Gesang kuratiert sie farbenfrohe und genreübergreifende Sets - es geht darum, die Tanzfläche aufzuheizen und die Leute glücklich zu machen.
