Hitting the end of November, elrow Music is keeping up the pace with another killer EP for you, our dearest crowd! Just before the final month of this 2017, we wanted to make some noise with yet another amazing release, this time in the hands of the amazing Spanish producer, Wade. 'Bump N Grind EP' has three originals from Wade and one remix of the title track by the elrow Music's label boss and main man, De La Swing.

With a clear tech-house aesthetic, the EP opens up with the track naming it, 'Bump N Grind (Original Mix)', a track infused with breaks and a hip-hopish styling, thanks to its badass vocals anddrum progression. A great track for any moment in the dancefloor. Then we have the rework of elrow's label boss, De La Swing, who gives his take on the title track, 'Bump N Grind (De la Swing Remix)'. De La Swing gives the track a more energetic treatment, starting with a techier progression, and taking advantage of the amazing vocals, looping them brilliantly and adding some amazing FX and atmospheres to the track, twisting the original vibes and enhancing them making this track perfect for peak times. Then, we find 'Rowlling (Original Mix)' a song that clearly is a homage to elrow's vibe, thanks to its steady vibe, amazing drum pattern and playful vocals, with some carnivalesque effects giving the track a life of its own. The EP closes with 'Interestellar (Original Mix)', which starts with some amazing acid synth sound, and continues with space-like FX and soft percussion, giving the track an amazing vibe and making us travel into the cosmos with its amazing sound signature.

We have asked some of our dearest friends to remix our biggest tracks to date, creating this 'elrow Remixed vol. 1' series. In this delivery you'll be able to find three of our biggest tracks remixed by some of the hottest artists of the genre. These are Max Chapman's 'Body Jack' - our first #1 track in Beatport's general chart, supported by even bigger names as Carl Cox -, CAAL & Baum's 'Downtown Beat' - a major surprise for us, supported by artists ranging from Marco Carola to Dennis Ferrer -, and Ki Kreighton and Makanan's 'Trivial' - that not only blew Beatport, but also is the most streamed track of the label in Spotify -. Considering his strong penchant for groove riddled underground house and techno,  it comes as little to no surprise that Piero Pirupa has found a trusty accomplice in the form of Incorrect Music. After the previous success, the formidable Italian is back on Anthony Attalla's label with two track, providing a terse illustration of what both parties excel at best.

Opening up proceedings with ‘Fire’, the powerhouse energy of Piero’s productions is evident from the very beginning. An irrefutable dance floor weapon which evolves and increases in intensity throughout, rigorous rumbling basslines paired with rigid percussion and sizzling vocal flourishes makes this a memorable opener.

Offering some French finesse to matters is Tim Baresko. His remix of ‘Fire’ is less bass-heavy than that of the original with the vocal stabs subtly pierce through each layered percussion. A distinctive bassline progresses the track forward with purpose in moderation and in true Baresko fashion, the execution of the remix is gripping in the sense of how it really captures the cool authenticity of the underground.

Closing out the EP is title track ‘Coco Mama’, another brimming example of Piero’s enviable and consistently creative palette. Preserving the propulsive efficiency that he has become renowned for, the track is fuelled by groove-laden rhythms and infectious vocal arrangement. Amped with a deep, rolling bassline which persists throughout, this is an assured party-starter apt for any dance floor occasion.

Miguel Bastida’s (1984, Granada, Spain) career has been steadily going up since he started DJing with only 14 years old, in the local radio station of his hometown, Alhama de Granada.
Nowadays living in Barcelona, Miguel has become one of the most in-demand Spanish artists worldwide, due to his versatility, great musical selection and charisma dominating the dancefloor.

Miguel’s influences initially came from bands as The Prodigy or The Chemical Brothers, and also from harder styles, like hardtechno and breakbeats. Besides, he had one of South Spain’s electronic music strongholds close to home: Industrial Copera. There, DJs as Ben Sims or Cristian Varela left a huge impression on Bastida, who also looked up to artists such as Nathan Fake, James Holden or Alex Under, during the golden years of minimal techno.

Miguel already dominated the mixing craft when he turned 16. After his first nights out, the idea of music production started to come to his mind. Picturing sounds with each song he listened to, Bastida started gathering with friends with the same ideas and taste for music, setting up his first live sets, which finally led to the foundation of his first group: the electronic music band Raíz Electrónica (Electronic Roots). After that, and thanks to his self-taught practice, he managed to dominate his first production software, Reason, changing to Logic afterwards. Today, being his weapon of choice when creating beats. His love for machines is also well known, especially for Moog’s creations and MIDI controllers.

With his family support as mainstay, helping at the family’s business in the morning and focusing on the studio sessions during the afternoon, Miguel was able to dedicate himself to his great passion: the creation of tunes. Music production has been, without a question, what has taken Miguel Bastida where he is today. After years and years of being locked up in the studio, he managed to create his own, exclusive and uncompromised sound, whose turning point came in 2015, with the release of ‘Moudness’, a track that managed to stay up in the Top charts of platforms such as Beatport. Before that, he already managed to knock on the doors of heavyweights as Umek and his 1605 platform. Then Sébastien Leger’s Mistakes Music came, followed by Mark Knight’s Toolroom; Deeperfect; Trapez, elrow Music; Marc Marzenit’s Paradigma Music; Dubfire’s Sci-Tec; and most recently, Suara, demonstrating all the styles he dominates. Today his productions can be found in the selections of artists such as Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Luciano, John Acquaviva or Leger, Dubfire or Umek themselves.

As DJ, Miguel Bastida belongs to the exclusive group of Spanish DJs that has had the chance of touring around the world, presenting his repertoire in almost every country in the planet, from Australia and New Zealand to electronic music strongholds as New York and Chicago. His name can also be found on the line-ups of the world’s best clubs and festivals, managing to convince even the most demanding dancefloors of the scene.

Self-taught and entrepreneur, Bastida’s projects ended up naturally in the creation of his own label, Be One Records, that he manages along two of his childhood friends. Bastida is in charge of the A&R, while his buddies in Berlin and Granada manage design and social networks duties. Recently they created a sub-label, dedicated to support and give a chance to young and upcoming talents of the electronic music scene.

Be it as groove creator, selector or supporter of new talents with his label, Miguel Bastida is a safe bet for any record label, festival or venue that seeks to tear up their dancefloors.
