The Light

Miguel Mariaca is a composer and music producer from Switzerland with a dreamy cinematic sound, influenced by classic electronica and film soundtracks. 

Growing up without a TV or radio until his teenage years, Miguel uniquely discovered the world of cinema through storytelling, activating his vivid imagination as his babysitters described the stories of the movies they watched. What he heard fascinated him so much that he started buying audiobooks on cassette tapes of tales and movies, constantly recreating the visuals in his mind. This process started his passion of telling stories as well with music and sound in collaboration with directors and other creatives. 

Miguel creates his inimitable sound by blending synthesizers and guitar pedals with traditional instruments, whether he is writing for film, advertising, video games or his own bold artistic pursuits. His passion and career have taken him around the world to study music composition and film directing in Canada, Florida, and California to establish himself in the L.A. Music Industry - creating music for entities such as 20th Century Pictures, Disney and members of the L.A. Philharmonic Orchestra, and putting the finishing touches to a new solo artist EP showcasing his textural production prowess.
