This is the first of our four Christmas covers recorded collaboratively with the musicians of The MusiCollective (TMC) as part of this year’s festive song advent calendar. December has barely just begun, but to get us all in the right mood, we’re releasing a new track every Sunday leading up to Christmas, and the final one on Christmas Eve (or Day - TBC). We got over 20 people on this track spanning all levels of singing and recording experience (including our youngest ever contributor April), brought together by the powers of BandLab, relentless nudging (sorry!) and the mixing magic of our Christmas elves. The result was well worth the effort – well done and Merry Christmaaaaaaaas, Everyone!

Mihail Yossifov is one of the most successful young Bulgarian jazz trumpeters to have emerged in recent years.  His talent as a musician and as an exciting on-stage presence is now spreading well beyond his mother country’s borders.

Mihail creates music in his sextet accompanied by the some of the most excitingly talented Bulgarian jazz musicians and, together, set the modern jazz musical agenda in Bulgaria.

Mihail Yossifov sextet members are: Mihail Yossifov (trumpet), Atanas Hadzhiev (tenor sax), Velislav Stoyanov (trombone), Vasil Spassov (piano), Dimitar Shanov (bass) & Hristo Yotzov (drums).
