來自美國洛杉磯的製作人Liquid Earth，以Urulu名義遠渡香江在宀與我們一起慶祝踏入2019年新年。Urulu不忘香港，特地製作了一個mix set名為「Ferry to Lamma Island」，音樂型格亦豐層次，滿載著對香港的美好回憶。

本名Taylor Freels，於全球新冠肺炎之初開始以Liquid Earth之名為新製作人代號，現今已發行兩張EP，也在美英兩地的獨立廠牌Butter Side Up、 TerraFirm及 Lemak Records旗下推出其製作。
宀期待Taylor再次踏足香港。

Liquid Earth (LA) played at 宀 New Years of 2019, under the Alias Urulu. He lovingly shipped over a mix as a memory of his visit. “Ferry to Lamma Island” is an eclectic, undulating, sensation of layered sounds. Upbeat and mesmerising, with hints of Hong Kong.

Taylor Freels birthed Liquid Earth at the beginning of the pandemic and has already self-released two EP’s, released on Butter Side Up (Leeds), TerraFirm (Pittsburgh) and Lemak Records (LA).

An expert architect in building immersive experiences in all senses of the word, Dream Software blends sonic and visual elements to generate altered states in onlookers. Known for downtempo and trance leaning sounds with an optimistic undertone, Dream Software joined me live on PBS on the 5th April 2024 to take us on an encyclopaedic journey of classic ambient trance from the 90s and beyond.

This mix effortlessly transfers those who engage with it to an alternate realm of unparalleled beauty, with a calming tranquility that eases the body, mind and soul. Here you can lounge in paradise.

Subtle reflections of the sun catch your eye as they gleam off the slow-flowing water. You match the streams pace and stare into the horizon in awe at nature's phenomena. Every colour in the sky slowly becomes more vivid and you feel gradually more weightless. The edges of existence begin to glow and you close your eyes, relying only on sensation. Here you begin your voyage into distant lands.

Pioneering the next voyage is our good friend & frequent visitor to Plantera, Katie aka Lora Mipsum - a creative spirit whom we have a hoooj love & admiration for.

Co-curator of hazy Whomp's for heartfelt causes and embarking on a noble quest to unearth gems of yesteryear with her label Slush Records, we knew this care and attention to detail would run through to the voyage series. 

Showcasing the downtempo realms of their vinyl collection, Katie elegantly weaves a psychedelic excursion through blissed-out spring-time soundscapes & dream-state chillers. A timely mix of seasonal shifts through ambient rays metamorphosing into organic rhythms of the mystical, guided by the groove. 

Thank you so much for this beautifully crafted journey, Katie - spring has most definitely sprung.

Last Saturday, 05/25, I had the opportunity to develop one of my DJ sets called 'Vanishing Point, music to fade away', within the installation 'Round Sky and Square Earth (天圆地⽅)' in front of an attentive audience, given over to listening. The installation and its title seemed to me like the setting for a lyrical, mysterious and delicate fairy tale. (More info below)

The installation that puts the work of Yu Depeng and Lucía Loren in dialogue, curated by Mateo Feijóo, with the participation of the collective Habitar el Esparto and Josephine’ Soundscapes.

Starting from the singularity of traditional Chinese thought as an alternative for social and environmental sustainability, which Yu Depeng proposes, Mateo Feijóo imagines a collage in which several views are superimposed.

The proposal enters into dialogue with the Clima Fitness installation, which currently occupies the Intermediae space, to imagine an ancestral gym where to experience collaboration networks based on social and environmental sustainability.

Violet Poison is the proto-EBM/Industrial side-project of Italian producer and dj, Francesco Baudazzi, previously known as Obtane, the techno project he shut down in 2012. 

Violet Poison is inspired by oldschool EBM and synth/wave music from the 80's. Baudazzi also runs different projects under various aliases, some focused on 80's thriller/horror soundtracks and some on US-oriented Italo-disco/freestyle. Baudazzi also is the label head for Veleno Viola that is also a podcast mix series

We're very proud to announce the release of S.O.N.S' complete 7-hour vinyl set, which was recorded at 宀 for the February 2024 edition of VG+.

S.O.N.S, real name Tim, is pushing the vinyl format throught his adventurous DJ sets and his record store Junction in Seoul, South Korea. Having settled in the city more than 10 years ago, he has been part of the local electronic music community development and is currently resident DJ of the reknowned Ring club, at the heart of the Itaewon District.With several well received records under different aliases (Dj Jacuzziy, SYO...) and collaborations (Forest Witches, Giorgio Celeste & The Cobra) mostly self released on his own labels, he divides his time between making music in the studio, caring for the customers in the store, and digging compulsively for new yet unearthed music.

宀 (pronounced "mihn" is the Chinese Radical 40 with a different pronunciation according countries. It has no literal meaning but can be likened to a roof or shelter. This is a place where you can express yourself freely. This place is for dancing. This is a place to learn. This is safe space where you will not be harassed, discriminated, criticised or harmed emotionally or physically. This is a place where all Races, Genders and Sexual identities are welcome. To safeguard this vision, there will be a no-photo policy applied inside the club.

宀 has been imagined by a group of music and audiophile enthusiasts who have chosen a Funktion One soundsystem in a room carefully engineered by one of the region's leading experts in acoustics.
