ECSTATIC DANCE INSPIRED BY INDIA 2023

Played at Asheville Movement Collective on Sunday April 30th, 2023

I wrote a poem for this ecstatic dance set as its intention.

Lion's Mane

Wild wind blown and untamed 
This Mane bares scars 
Marking resilience
Brutal courage
And lingering pain

To all the lions 
And lionesses out there
Still marking their terrain,
The Sun of the Earth
Shines upon your Mane

Lion's Mane {Ecstatic Dance Set by MIKAYA}

Beginning with a traditional Indian chant, Kirtan-style, Jai Ambe (mother of the world) this song continues and shifts into an African chant Yabo (tribal protection chant).  Yabo is sung with many layers of vocals including vocalists SaraTone, Aliina Champion, and Sommer Fawn Moselle.
Each chant is supported by percussion & drums from that culture.

Cause to occur. Fire. Kiyah is the calling of one’s purpose that fuels their actions. One of our greatest powers as humans is to alter, instigate change, cause to occur, make things happen, and create. 

Kiyah is you in action from your purest self. It is the other two fire elements, Ziassou and Nikkah, in action. Actions driven by Kiyah will bring great fruits. What fuels your actions?

Movement is a live DJ set of ecstatic dance in the dark by Yaniv Tzadick
a place to be yourself with whatever rises.
This night's session was during hard days of war and distraction all around !!
Every week we gather in this special space to the ritual of dancing all our personal reality and meeting with it on the dance floor with the collective reality and lifting ourselves together
This night was extreme as we danced outdoors under a magical moon. the energy felt so locid and like an amazing ceremony

our shadows created a special effect were we felt them like our deeper being
