[HR011] Krayons - Sweetest Thing EP

Presenting to you the eleventh release on our imprint, with two premieres; a new addition to the family roster and our first ever techno release. Introducing the Dutch producer Krayons, hailing from Utrecht, whom has been a close friend of ours and Ducked Ape for quite some time. Logically, the release on our label, and the remix, were inevitable.

Sweetest Thing / Still
Krayons comes through with a gem of a track with Sweetest Thing, leaving the listener feeling mesmerized, as if they were driving through an 80’s mirage of a neon-lighted city. Its vibe is driving, yet so distinctively electro pop, crossing the border to techno. Then there’s the more serious counterpart, Still, which carries the listener to warped levels with a multitude of synths. Like vivid dreams that just keep intensifying.

Ducked Ape Remix
On remix duty we have Ducked Ape, delivering a hugely energetic tune in their increasingly apparent trademark style. Their tune is melodic and invitingly funky, with a very catchy lead throughout, and filled with funky riffs and lively stabs. One for the more house minded listener, and a perfect addition to bring this release to a well rounded issue.

A while back our Danish wonderboy Dooqu spoke to us about one of his idols, StereoCool. Not long after we had gotten in touch with him, and those talks resulted in an official remix opportunity for Dooqu of StereoCool’s hit single ‘Simple’.

With his remix, Dooqu delivers us an uplifting and swinging French house banger, filled with guitar riffs and the smoothest vocals by Ace. True to the signature Dooqu sound. Electro swing at it’s finest.
