In 2010, Kosmo Records signed a deal with an unknown singer from London for his first single "When It’s Alright". The contract also contained an option for the global rights to his debut album, which had been recorded in a small London studio. Then, after collaborations with DJ/producer teams like Naughty Boy and Disclosure, the talented young vocalist's career took off in 2013.
In 2014 he then brought out his solo album, which was a huge success around the globe and established him as probably the UK's most promising young vocal act:
The artist's name is Sam Smith.
Early in 2014, Kosmo Records released the Deep House version of "When It’s Alright", produced by the gifted producer team Juun, as a kind of follow-up to the Sam Smith collaborations like "Latch" and "Lalala".
After the fantastic feedback on Juun feat. Sam Smith, "When It’s Alright", Kosmo Records decided to release a further single from the as yet unreleased Sam Smith debut album, gaining Freddy Verano to produce the superb song "Moments".
This German-Columbian House DJ currently lives in Cologne, where he has been causing a furore as the resident of legendary clubs like the Neuschwanstein and the Tiefenrausch. He has already made the Top 3 of the HypeMachine charts twice in 2014 with his productions and collaborations "Shine" and "Dernière Danse", catapulting him out of the Insider Tip category in the German and worldwide House community.
Now, with his first single on Kosmo Records, "Moments" feat. Sam Smith, it would seem he has made his big breakthrough. He manages to expertly translate this melancholy pop hit with the unmistakable voice of Sam Smith into the electronic genre, without sacrificing any of the feeling: Big Emotions in the verses meet up here with dynamic pianos and a catchy hook in the chorus.
Freddy Verano calls his style "Sunshine House", which pretty much sums it up, because in "Moments" you can feel the heat as soon as the first beats hit your ears...

Fresh from lending his sublime scalpel skills to Editorial as part of the label's latest multi-artist extravaganza, C Da Afro returns to Disco Fruit with another tasty two-track missive. The Grecian producer is in predictably fine form on chunky, bass-heavy opener "Music Is Love", where dubbed-out vocal snippets, jazzy guitar motifs, swirling strings and fuzzy organ riffs cluster around a rubbery, all action disco-house groove. "Sugar Love" is an altogether more synth heavy beast, with C Da Afro applying his successful formula - all beefed-up bottom end and excitement building filter sweeps - to a dazzling slab of colourful '80s Euro-boogie goodness.
