PUSH BACK

Luminous Wavez is the collaboration of U.S. lyricsit Mike Dobbins (Patience Gloria) and U.K. musician Leaone (Lee-own).  Dobbins wrote lyrics for the Chicago based indie pop band Patience Gloria (2008-2014), with their greatest highlight coming in 2010 when they played the historic and iconic Hideout music venue in Chicago.  Leaone is a solo artist based in London who previously signed with the indie label Fierce Panda Records.  His first EP "Oh My Sweetest Sin" was hailed by reviewers throughout the U.K.  Now an independent artist, Leaone and Dobbins formed Luminous Wavez in 2020 amid the punishing pandemic.  Dobbins discovered Leaone on the music collaboration website SoundBetter and was instantly drawn to his deep, moody, captivating voice.  Their first EP, Raindrop Castle, explored their eclectic musical tastes while their second EP, Ashes of the Artist, has a more consistent soundscape in the vein of Johnny Cash and Nick Cave.   The two continue to collaborate musically though to this day they've only communicated via email.
