'Sunlight' is a celebration of energy, intensity, growth, vision, and shining bright.  It's the first half of a 24-track album of remixes by Silica Sol, a collection of electronic sounds, samples, mixes, mash-ups, flips, edits, and more that have inspired the creation of Eric Ryan Alexander’s musical metaverse 'Soundscape' for the past 10 years.  Sunlight is about illuminating the most original & authentic artists who blossom creativity from their own.

1984 is a disco style synth-wave track with an 80’s vibe. Disco style stabs, and an epic pitch bending synth lead, are driven by a relentless yet simple beat and octave shifting bassline. The angelic sounding vocal samples add to the euphoric and upbeat sound, making this an uplifting dance track.

Mike Galvin began his musical journey with classical training before being drawn into the underground rave scene in Dublin, Ireland in the 2000s after a brief spell playing in indie bands. Further inspiration was drawn from an appreciation of jazz and improvisational styles, epic movie scores, and the kinetic beats of the Berlin and Detroit house music and techno scenes before a move to Toronto in 2015.

He has played session guitar on releases and remixes by Canadian artists, and has composed scores for film including the award winning Irish short film “A Silence Between”.

He now draws upon these influences to create unique soundscapes that evoke a nostalgia for the introspective comedown after long nights of dancing, and a longing for the acceptance and embrace of close friends.
