Sépaline is the first mixtape of my new sequence : Impetus.

Impetus derives from the word hormone, and means impelling movement because the greek gods used to believe that hormones were messages from the gods to humans. Each Mixtape represent a different mood characterized by an Hormone imaged by my brother. 

The name Sépaline is the result of the three hormones stimulated and created while we feel happiness, peace, joy, melancoly and excitment : sérotonine, dopamine & noradrénaline (in French).

This is a happy melodic progressive Deep / Tech House set divided into two parts. The first part starts slowly and get progressively into a more catchy deep house ambiance. The last hour of the mixtape is more Tech house to end up with some melancolic tunes. 

Recorded live with an APC 40 & a step sequencer on ableton.

These are the first ~2 hours of my set in the South of France at Le Cannet 2 days ago. We did one of my best friend's birthday and I was planned to play there for as long as we could, which ended up in a 12hours marathon set surrounded by my favorite people.
The setup was incredible, the stunning view during a beautiful sunset (cover)and to be able to play all night outside with this amazing weather made it a very special moment. 
I had a lot of fun doing it, starting with some chill deep house as you can hear in the mixtape. Hope you will enjoy it as much as we did.

HaZa - Cannet Del Mar [Live Set]

The latest radio show from Quadrakey featured a guest mix from Abilaan.

Abilaan is a house music DJ, producer, label owner and event organizer born in Germany. At a young age (8) he moved to Baghdad, Iraq. Growing up there was a unique experience for him. He got to know his Middle Eastern roots. At the age of 15 years he moved to The Netherlands. There he got in touch with electronic music. After a long journey of musical exploration, Abilaan found his home in house music with warm and jazzy sounds.

In 2017 he moved to Berlin to pursue his dream and started his own label "Being All Here Records". He also started a concept called "Berlin House Music" with the intention of representing the Underground House music scene of Berlin. Next to podcasts, chats and free downloads, Abilaan focuses on organizing his new event series: Relationshop at Loftus Hall in Berlin. There he tries to get his hero's to play and also provide a stage for upcoming talent.

The idea behind the music Abilaan makes is to share a moment with the listener. "It's like creating the circumstance for your mind to go places, not by thinking but being, and the very thought of being able to communicate a certain feeling with music opens a lot of opportunities for expression".

Suprematic Sounds Podcast 30 — Fake Mood

Artist Info:
An electronic music DJ, remixer, composer and producer. Noted for his versatility and musical range, Philip attributes much of his influences to his Middle Eastern heritage and western upbringing. Known for his unmistakable sound, Philip's DJ sets and productions are rich with groovy hypnotic melodies and driving basslines. 

In his young years, Philip played in a few bands with his brother Julien and some high school mates, performing as musical act Elemental. Much of Philip's early nightlife experience began in the late 90s in Montreal at various events, many hosted by 514 Productions, Sona and Redlite. 

Over the years, he began working more frequently in the studio on original productions and remixes, and further developed his audio engineering skills. A few of Philip's early studio mentors are Nick Warren, Habersham, Max Graham, Darin Epsilon to name a few.

After finishing his university, Philip moved to Miami in 2005 and after to relocated to Belgium and Holland. While staying in Europe, Philip promoted his sound at festivals like the Amsterdam Dance Event and Tomorrowland. In 2012, Philip returned to Miami. While in Miami Philip had the opportunity to play in distinguished clubs like Vagabond and Nikki and enjoyed residencies at TSL Lounge, Treehouse, Do Not Sit on the Furniture, among others. 

Chedid performed with some of the world's most celebrated artists from all dance music genres, such as Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, Eelke Kleijn, Marc Marzenit, Guy Mantzur, Sahar Z, Darin Epsilon, Clarian, Einmusik, Omid 16B, Thomas Schumacher, Bedouin, Vanilla Ace, H-Foundation, Jody Wisternoff, Danny Howells, among many others. 

In the Spring of 2014, Philip released "Remaindermen" on Sound Avenue's "We are the Future" spring compilation. His Spring 2016 Bayti EP on Crossfade sounds received solid support and recommendations from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, among others. His 2016 collab with Darin Epsilon 'Endless Sands of Time' [Parquet] received stellar reviews by Deep House Amsterdam, among other noted publishers. Over the next couple years, the releases have been flowing, and in 2017 Philip formed the imprint Endless Sands of Time.

Resonance [Session XIII]

As with all of my mixes, but perhaps more so than any other... this one is a deep bastard - I'm talking "it would take 2 hours for a big fucking ship to strike the basin" deep.

A selection of older and newer material from the great ocean of techno. Opening with some glowing, deep and melodic sounds, we traverse through the razor sharp sonics of Quantec (a track from his new album, <a href="http://www.discogs.com/Quantec-1000-Vacuum-Tubes/release/3644316" target="_blank">1000 Vacuum Tubes</a>) and the minimal mystique of Grad_U to some blissed out and sublime electronic dub tracks including a classic cut from Rhythm & Sound.

A sequence of zoned-out atmospheric tech house brings this mix home with some very special new tracks on some of my favourite labels, including Telrae, Illian Tape and Echocord before we close up with an absolutely timeless track, "Evil Dub" taken from Swayzak's 1998 classic <a href="http://www.discogs.com/Swayzak-Snowboarding-In-Argentina/master/64157" target="_blank">Snowboarding In Argentina LP</a>.
