After one year off with no releases during 2022, "Dawn of Midnight" is my return to the release train and synthwave/retrowave genre. I wanted to make something that sounds classic synthwave, but at the same time fresh and with a chill/moody feeling.

There are more tracks in the release pipeline in the synthwave genre planned for 2023, so keep an eye & ear open for that if you enjoyed this.

Before I write anything else I need to stress something out - this track isn't composed for Tomb Raider the Dagger of Xian remake. With that being sad, let me explain what this is. ;) Back in 2008 I made my first Tomb Raider track and uploaded it to youtube. Some of TR fans remember it from Tomb Raider Himalayan Mysteries TLR game by Titak. Lately I've been composing music for Tomb Raider DoX, but usually writing music for the game means that you are limited by the atmosphere, location, gameplay... And you need to be careful not to overdo it, especially when it comes to the in-game music tracks. I've been missing making something more adventurous, lighter, louder (avoiding the word "epic" lol) - something that doesn't necessary need to fit the game, but still sounds familiar. Few weeks ago I've been reminded of the track from 2008, so I've decided to remake that theme. You can check the original track here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39ScP... I wanted to wait till January and make it sort of "anniversary of the track" or something, but I've finished it earlier than expected.
