Yannick Roberts is mostly known for his releases on Freerange Records, but also released music under his former alias Ouvrijster on Sampling As An Art Records, Sleazy Beats and his own record label Dievegge Recordings since 2017. Yannick’s own take on the deep, disco-influenced Detroit House sound is warm and punchy. With sampling Soul and Disco records, he creates House music for the place where it belongs: sweaty dancefloors. Always with the utmost respect for where the music originated from and with the a philosophy on how House music should be celebrated. This is reflected in his DJ sets, where Yannick plays vinyl to create this space with warm sounds, solid grooves and yearning vocals.

Something he showcases all over the planet at legendary festivals and clubs such as Southport Weekender (UK), Chosen Few Picnic Festival (US), Cielo (NYC), Amsterdam Dance Event, and Ministry of Sound (UK) to name a few festivals, and clubs. His deep, uplifting & energetic DJ skills get recognition by the world’s very best & are a seamless mix of upfront New York & Chicago house, deep house, & disco. Every set is a journey of digging through 25 years of house music. 

As a producer Risk has released a track ‘Welcome to my House’ on Dope Wax, the label of Kenny Dope (nr 3 Traxsource deep house chart), and his last track ‘Alright, Alright was released via T Crates, the label of Terry Hunter (nr 12 Traxsource deep house chart). As part of the deejay collective RiskSoundSystem (2007 - 2014) he has released the club hit ‘The Sound is Yours’ via N.EW.S. and the single ‘Closer’ with Marc Evens on Quantize Recordings from deejay Spen.
