Calm "Futures of Yesterday's" Calling is a mash-up of the tracks from the Calm Callings EP and other tracks like 'Future of Yesterday' which is also a part of the album title. This album being like an extended version of the Calm Callings EP takes you on an adventure and escape for your body and mind leading you through trances and dreamscapes with its brightening and dark ambient soundscapes and distant airy sounding synths.

Enjoy a fair amount of songs that were inspired by some of Electronic Music's greats: Brian Eno, Christophe Franke, Edgar Froese, Jean Michel Jarre, Klaus Schulze, Kraftwerk, and so on just to name a few of my inspirations. Some may consider these tracks to be simplistic and minimal or complex and unpredictable at heart.

I came up with this tune on the 3rd of February, 2014 and worked on it for a good week straight. I just can't get it out of my head now. I did a rough mix, but I think it passes by as a decent mix. Enjoy.

I started with the first riff you hear and elaborated more and more and came up with this song in just a few hours. I thought it deserved to be heard by many friendly ears.

An Invisible Light (2014)

"Leather Leaf" first started with the synth sequence you first hear and then the synth string fades in with it. Then the Lo-Fi synth sound that first comes in is the first half of the Synth Lead and that very quickly is blended and masked by the the other half which gives off a more clear sound along with meddling of modulation. When the song reaches the Chorus this is where I feel I wanted more impact and emotion. With the Plug-ins I have and the Amateur Mixing skills I bare, I tried messing around with the EQs, Reverbs and other forms of manipulation, and even though I didn't end up getting the big and spread out sound for the Chorus parts of the song I still feel this song is very close to being a complete and satisfactory song. I do however label this as being one of my many ISD = Indecisive Song Decision songs.

Leather Leaf (2015)

This track draws influence from Brian Eno's collaborative album, 'Small Craft on a Milk Sea' with Jon Hopkins & Leo Abrahams. The title track 'Small Craft on a Milk Sea' was the sole influence and inspiration for this track. Secondly, this track also draws influence from The XX's opening track, Intro' from their debut album.

Day of Memory (2014)

I first started working on this song back in mid-November of this year (2015). This song was quite a challenge when it came to mixing every sound into its fitting place (EQ-ing, Compressing, adjusting note velocity for certain sounds/synths), but I did it and I think I made a decent mix with my amateur mixing abilities. It may not be mixed by industry professionals, but hey. Enjoy!

This is a song that I finally got around to completing. I first came up with the opening portion of the song (09-21-2015) and could never end up finishing the rest of it in a way that would do the song justice with purpose. So, this is what I was getting around to a past week in 2016. Enjoy everyone and I hope it makes a good emotional and yet passionate impact in a way.

This is a tribute song to David Bowie, Prince, & Alan Rickman's passing in 2016, (at the time of their passings I wanted to make a song in tribute and honour of them) and other who've passed away as of the present day.

This song came to mind when I just happened to be playing a few third chords on my keyboard and I chose certain ones that went well together in sequence and that's where the Intro sequence or chords bloomed the rest of the song with additional synths as well as the early descending three-key entrance of the bass line. 

The title came off from the top of my head starting the song around midnight-ish and then going to 3:45am in the morning (hence the subtitle in brackets) and making music is a passionate and wonderful escape into a meditation coming out of reality.

With this track, I wanted to make a somewhat song unique song a bit different from my other stuff. I first thought of starting with an odd time signature or another way you could put it is having the drum beat start on the offbeat of the synth riff hence one reason I went with the title of the track, "Glitch in the System". Then when the first transition happens going into the first bridge of the song the drum beat starts along with the riff, melody and rhythm and by the second transition going into the second bridge of the song, everything kind of comes together; the riff completes, the rhythm is satisfied and joined by other supporting rhythm and melodies. It feels and sounds complete.

I created this on the night of (10-01-2016), and it's one of the tracks I'm putting on the 'Future of Yesterday EP'. Enjoy!

Glitch in the System (2016)

This would be the second to last track to the Future of Yesterday EP. This is a song re-done up and improved from it's original version. The origin track bared the name "Kollectively Klever", but I thought that with this new and improved,  and yet more ambient rendition of that track I would give the name River Among the Stars.

River Among the Stars (2016)

This is the 5th track to the Calm Callings EP. I drew some inspiration from the Soundtrack of the video game Splinter Cell: Conviction. There is a Dark Ambient score that plays during one of the stealth missions (I forget the name of the Mission) and I thought I would make a rendition or tribute to the Splinter Cell video game series for having some outstanding scores/soundtracks to bring the games to life.

The Future of Yesterday (2017)

This is an instrumental that I came up with back in 2012. The song came together bit by bit over time while I was attending college. I find it has a bit of a hip hop vibe to it. Electro - Hip-Hop from MikeroSynth.

Brief History of Mikerosynth:

I've been creating various types of music since 2005, when I was introduced to FL Studio by a friend who showed me an early demo (FL Studio 7's demo), and I fell in love. I was mesmerized by it. Since then, I have conceptualized many concepts and ideas. I went through so many names in the past to fit the sound I create, and I finally landed on Mikerosynth, because it just stuck. 

Mikerosynth - Present Day:

My real name is Mike, and my music spans from Ambient Electronic to Synthwave and Experimental. I've evolved my palette of music taste since I first started messing around with FL Studio. I attended and graduated from an audio engineering course, which gave me more confidence mixing and tweaking how I want my song to sound using different pieces of equipment, whether it be working with analog or digital (virtual) gear with FL Studio's library of plugins and VSTs to make much better and more colourful music.

As you can see, I have posted up tracks listed with the labels "WIP" (Work in Progress) or "Demo," but don't worry, I will get around to finishing and posting completed mixes in the near future. I will continue to brainstorm ideas, apply my talents, and craft a better and more fitting listening experience.
