The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Brutalismus 3000. One of our favorite Berlin projects returns with a new track on the upcoming DURCH v/a compilation: Solidarity 002 - A Love Letter To The Queer Community. DURCH is a queer collective with a clear vision of solidarity and community building. DURCH operates in Tel Aviv and Berlin trying to bring queer people together, building a culture of inclusion, diversity and tolerance. In the tradition of original raves DURCH organizes solidarity events ranging from parties, to art and community events, with the strong belief that raves are a much needed place for people to come together, celebrate their diversity and learn to respect each other.

After releasing their first v/a earlier in the year, The are back with their second solidarity release of the year: Bolder, queerer and definitely more fun than ever. Take a bit of everything, mix it together and then burn it all down. Building on our previous release DURCH [digital] Solidarity 002 features some well established artists alongside some exciting, well-kept secrets of the electronic dance music scene. You’re in for a bumpy ride and a couple of pretty nasty surprises on the way. Today we bring you the nu gabber post techno punk of "Satan Was a BabyBoomer". 

As always, the proceeds from the release go to Queer causes and this release will benefit TransInterQueer e.V. (TrIQ) and Casa Kuà. Out on April 16th and you can get yours on BANDCAMP.

Today, Simply Jeff is best known for his funky beats and breaks sound, but in the early 90s, he was making waves in the US dance culture with partner Brian Ginsberg as X-Calibur, releasing their first major recordings on Moonshine Music. Together, they climbed the Billboard dance charts with their single "Love American Style" and performed live nationwide as one of America’s first electronic dance acts. Jeff also DJed at hotspots and underground rave events throughout Southern California. In 1991, he began his career as a radio mix show DJ, co-hosting the "MARS-FM Top 30 Countdown" with the legendary Swedish Egil, where they broke iconic 90s dance artists like Moby, The Prodigy, and Carl Cox. At the time, the "Top 30 Countdown" was the number one afternoon weekend radio show in Los Angeles, and MARS-FM (103.1 FM) in Santa Monica became a pioneering station for airing techno and house music from around the world 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
A couple years later, bad press would hit the rave culture in Los Angeles like a virus.
This brought the temporary closing of all rave events in the entire Southern California area! During this changing time, Jeff reinvents himself as an artist and changes his DJ name from DJ Spinn to Simply Jeff and continues his passion of dance music while introducing his new funky breaks sound by releasing original music on his very own Orbit Transmission label. By 1994, opens up his first record store with friends in Orange County, California specializing in dance music and rave culture. Jeff would then be a community retailer of dance music over a span of 16 years. However, Simply Jeff's worldwide acclaim in dance music as a solo artist began in 1996, when signing a recording contract with popular indie dance label, City of Angels (Home of The Crystal Method, Uberzone and Elite Force). Hello world!
Simply Jeff continued to release popular dance singles such as "My Planet" and "Godzilla Funk" to releasing top selling commercial dance compilations such as the "Funk-Da-Fried" series. Simply Jeff's evolving style of breakbeat accompanied by the sounds of various genres has taken him to perform on various sound stages around the world. Touring has also promoted the collaboration of music projects with various artist across the board. From electronic dance music artist, Uberzone and DJ Dan; to hip-hop originator, Afrika Bambaataa; 80s pop icon, Stacey Q; comedian, Andrew Dice Clay; to legendary rap artist, Snoop Dog. Simply Jeff has also appeared in various films, television shows, live cast and documentaries concentrating on the subject of electronic dance music throughout the years.
After having a strong run throughout the 90s to releasing his last major album compilation in 2010, titled "Electro Shock," a brief hiatus was in store for Simply Jeff.
Since 2018, Simply Jeff has been making his first steps back into the music scene and has evolved once again as an artist and dance music enthusiast. He continues to share his experience with his colleagues on podcast shows as well as promoting the music he loves the most on his livestream DJ sets. This has ultimately drove Jeff's passion to share, inspire and educate the next generation of electronic dance music artist and enthusiast around the world. Promoting peace and international beats!

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY by way of The Bronx, Justin Schumacher is a product of 90s hip hop and rave culture. After over a decade of hard work and dedication he has emerged as one of NYC's most promising techno talents. His studio output continues to gain notoriety in the global techno community. Carlo Lio just signed a 3 track EP of his for Rawthentic Music with remix duties going to Proudly People. Additional releases and remixes can be found on labels such as Unknown Territory, Ohn-Cet, Italo Business, From 0-1, Vector Functions, Monocline Records, Dystopian Rhythm, Illegal Alien, De-Konstrukt and many many more with over 50 releases to his credit. His tunes have been featured on podcasts and live recordings from Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Truncate, Slam, Georgio Gigli, Ben Klock, Pfirter, just to name a few. Justin Schumacher's writing style remains thought-provoking and intelligent, employing complex fills and slick programming with exceptional sonic construction while still remaining floor- focused and energetic. Vicious Steam Engine stands for mechanical driving Techno from Germany.
Based in Southern Germany he grew up in the 90s and the upcoming Techno scene in Germany, France, and Switzerland. His own Track Productions experiments with different styles and also combines them. Some songs are more Techno fairy tales, which tell a mood and a story. He loves to experiment and creatively create new musical experiences. In his various Tracklist, there is something for almost every techno taste. He brings a breath of fresh air to the Techno scene, with unusual song productions, song structures and vibes. Mike Daimon started his musical career at a young age as a drummer. Throughout his youth he was in a few local bands and played quite a few live shows. During that time frame he also latched on to electronic and techno music and was hooked instantly. He knew something new and exciting was emerging. 

Mike then started his DJ career in the late 90s spinning at underground parties and events in the New York/New Jersey area playing mainly tech-house, techno and trance. Shortly after, he started to produce movie scores as well as various genres of techno and dove deep into working on new music.

After a long hiatus, Mike decided it was time to get back out there and do what he loves to do which is to bring great underground music to the masses.

These days he gravitates more towards darker and deeper sounds like techno, deep house and EBM. Mike says, “it feels good to dip back into my roots and continue on this journey.”

DJ Capelli was raised in New Jersey and found his passion for electronic music in the late 80's at 10 years old, fueled by the resonating sounds of industrial music including bands like Nine Inch Nails, Front 242, KMFDM, and Skinny Puppy. By 14-15, he went to his first rave, discovering a vibrant community to call his own. At 16, he acquired his set of Technic turntables and a mixer and began learning the ins and outs of DJing. Inspired by DJ Bad Boy Bill and influenced by the Chicago house scene, he quickly found his signature sound playing hard house infused with the soulful essence of Chicago house & disco house.

As the '90s drew to a close, Capelli became a prominent figure in the New Jersey and New York City party circuits, collaborating with local New York and New Jersey DJs such as Odi, Kazpa, Jo-S, Empress, Pauly, and Jevic from Sympty. After a hiatus in the mid-2000s, the allure of the scene beckoned once again in 2020, during the Covid 19 pandemic being reignited by TNL's live broadcasts and the birth of the SESS1ONS events under the Verrazano Bridge. By 2021, equipped with fresh gear and renewed vigor, Capelli emerged from retirement, unleashing a torrent of hard-hitting techno mixes infused with that old Chicago flare that captured the attention of RTDF RAVE RADIO. Now serving as the resident DJ for RTDFRaveRadio.com, Capelli has delivered countless exclusive mixes and is an essential promoter. This new venture with Rave Radio throughout 2023 has opened the door for guest DJ mixes on Podcasts internationally. In 2024,  he started his new podcast on RTDF RAVE RADIO STATION: Capelli's Outta Freak'in Control Podcast featuring full line-ups of DJs airing as their Sunday flagship shows.
