It's a real joy to be able to say, at the end of each year, something to the effect of "wow, that was a wild ride!" and reflect on a roller coaster of highs and lows, new insights, perspectives, constellations, and lessons learned. And indeed, 2024 has been a joyous adventure of bright triumphs to celebrate and knotted gnarls to untangle. There's a quiet sense of precarity simmering under all things when one operates in the cutty twilight zone of the barely-legitimate real-deal underground, so it's always truly precious when we have a chance to notch one more soaring night together and to celebrate a big loop through time, despite the feeling that the clock is ticking. So after the last grains of temporal sand have slipped out of the hourglass of 2024, join us to flip the whole thing over, inside, and out, and take the first steps into 2025.

Alternatively, if you're not into the foofy auspicious stuff like spiritually traversing the sand of time, and tracing meaning and destiny through solar and sidereal time and blablablabla, just come through to shake your ass, pop some bottles, hoot and holler, get a sloppy post-midnight new year's kiss, and kick off 2025 with fun and flair.... so come n' get it!!! We're thrilled to celebrate another HAPPY NEW YEAR with you!!!

We'll have Bounce House's reliable, adventurous residents taking us into dawn - familiar faces and seasoned selectors with the right sensibilities for surprise and celebration: that's Furtive, DJ Anarres, and Nail Salon, getting your asses moving across a free-form timetable, and Emme and Masina keeping those rowdy asses managed.

this isn’t a club mix. it’s a shadowy companion for late nights and long days—a darker, more aggressive drift through sound, designed for moments of solitude or focused movement. woven through the textures is a collaborative track made with v1fro and mauricio the invisible—an anchoring point that reflects both memory and momentum. the result is a mix that listens like a slow burn: jagged, hypnotic, and quietly defiant.

based in miami, berrakka is a real hometown favourite - a staple within the city’s vibrant nightlife scene. hosting her own club residency, ‘nine five south’, berrakka has also played for notable parties in nyc and la as well as guest appearances for nts, the lot radio and the miami grand prix.

For the 136th entry in the Honcho Podcast Series, we welcome @alana_maenad! maenad is musician and multimedia artist based in Brooklyn. Training originally as a classical singer, she found a home in the queer club scene where a strong sense of community and love has inspired her to infuse her djing with emotional vocal tracks and warm sentimental sounds. She seeks constantly to share euphoria found only on the dance floor and to uplift and celebrate trans people. 

This mix is a love letter to Honcho, to Jellyfish, to Mass - to Pittsburgh. I feel so lucky to have gotten my start in that scene, where so many fantastic musicians play with wild abandon; they have inspired me to play exactly what my heart calls for in every moment. I wanted this to be a joyful invitation to dance with me. House and disco classics interweave with groovy, funky newer selections to project love and sunshine.
