On one bright day in the middle of the night
Two dead boys got up to fight
Back to back they faced each other
Drew their swords and shot each other 

Mum, you dropped the mug again, the blue one wiv the moon inside. It cracked like glass that knew too much, then held its breath and tried to hide. Dad, your arms still ache some nights— you hold the air like it’s still me. I saw you trace the window steam, like you were writin’ memory.
I remember Cornwall, summer’s grin, the sand got stuck in everythin’. You said, “that’s love—gets in your bones,” and smiled like stones could dream alone.

I’m right here, past the glass, in the shimmer that don’t last. You can’t touch me, I know that part, but I still fit inside your heart. Like flame in wax or fog in jar, I’m just a whisper… from not-too-far.

I saw the photos on the stair, the ones where joy looked unaware. I watched you look at them and pause, like souls remember without cause. You lit a candle, blinked too long— the flame bent left, but stayed on strong.
You always said I shined too loud, a star in boots, head in a cloud. But stars ain’t stars 'til they explode— they burn to mark the proper road. And love, it’s like a mirrored maze, the deeper in, the more it stays.

I’m still here, hid in folds, in half-told tales and coats gone old. In cereal crumbs and gravel hands, in “wait for green” and “hold my hand.” I breathe where dreams begin to sway, where night forgets the shape of day.

I walked through stars like daisy chains, saw other mes in other lanes. Some were brave and some were small, but all of us still heard you call. One held paint, one climbed trees, one just danced in kitchen breeze. And all of us remember still— the mirage road down Twmbarlwm hill.
I learned that time ain’t straight nor round— it’s more like music, not like ground. And love? It’s salt, it’s spark, it’s song— it don't need now to keep it strong.

I’ll be here when the road bends, when the days don’t make much sense. In skipped songs on rainy drives, in all the “nearlys” of your lives. You built me from a kiss, a spark, I’ll echo through the softest dark.

He crashed through a wall without making a sound
Into a dry creek bed and suddenly drowned
A long black hearse came to cart him away
But he ran for his life and is still gone today

During her teenage years, Mileena experienced a period of instability, moving between various homes before achieving independence at the young age of 16. Music has always been a constant in her life, providing an escape and a source of inspiration, giving her strength through challenging times.

Growing up surrounded by music, Mileena was fortunate to learn the piano, which became a foundation for her musical journey. She joined an orchestra, initially playing the viola before switching to the cello, and also learned to play the guitar while dabbling with the violin. With her life experiences shaping her lyrics as if they were entries from a personal journal, Mileena's songs capture the raw emotion and stories of her life, resonating deeply with listeners who connect with her authenticity.

Beyond her passion for music, Mileena is also the author of the Blood of the Wild Gods book series and is deeply committed to the healthcare industry. She currently works as a Registered Nurse and has over a decade of experience in long-term care, pharmaceutical research, and psychiatric care.
