German-born producer and composer millhope sees his instrumental music as a source for daydreaming, curiosity, hope, and idleness. With his catchy synthesizer melodies and spherical guitar lines, pushed by driving drums and striking bass, millhope’s music takes you on a journey through dreamy soundscapes, drawing inspiration from albums like Tycho's "Dive“, Genesis's "Abacab“, Jonny Buckland’s (Coldplay) guitar lines, and Muse's synth arpeggios. 
Describing his genre as a blend of chillwave, ambient rock, and downbeat, his music is sure to be the perfect soundtrack for your daydreaming and idle moments. For him, it’s not just about the melodies - he also incorporates subtle but ever-present field recording elements, including nature-related sound collages and samples of everyday objects and instruments. And he has a certain haptic fetish, admitting that he loves the sound and feel of the PATCH NUMBER button on his Juno-60.

I'm a huge fan of electronic music, which is why I manage this SoundCloud profile to discover fantastic tunes and share them here.

Starting at 18, Anna began DJing vinyl independently. She soon played at youth centers, private parties, and then regularly headlined bars and clubs in Bonn and Cologne. Some of them even with regular residency. She hosted her own event series at Cologne’s Jaki Club. 
.She now blends these roots with her dance and performance experience to forge a unique voice between movement and techno. She is renowned for high-energy performances and has graced stages at festivals and clubs from Berlin to Lisbon.
Anna holds a Master's degree, which she earned with a thesis on the influence of John Cage's music on the FLUXUS art movement. 
For several years, she managed the German blog for Electronic Beats by T-Mobile, sharing daily insights into art, design, and music, conducting interviews with notable artists and reporting on events in Europe. She notably shared the stage with James Blake at the Cologne Electronic Beats Festival and drew the attention of fashion designers, including Karl Lagerfeld, who booked her for events. 
After a pause to focus on her private life, she returns to the turntables with something special: her own tracks. “I felt the urge to come back and express something that was hidden inside me—my own music. I wasn’t ‘done’ with being a DJ; the urge to express something deep inside my soul drove me back for a powerful comeback.”
Her themes center on freedom and expression through movement. Anna refuses to be boxed into a single genre, often answering that she plays and produces what speaks to her and what she wants to give the dancefloor in the moment—each room and night is different, and her music resonates with the people around her.

Making electronic music in Hong Kong with some friends in a band TKO. Usually we play hour long electronic jams. Am trying to cut them down to 5 minutes or so before uploading. Also made some more dancey stuff myself while trying to master Logic. Looking to play gigs in Hong Kong as well. All comments welcome. Guest singers too : )

Jeff McIlwain has been producing his diverse, melodic strain of abstract electronic music as Lusine for a decade-and-a-half. Originally a Texas native, McIlwain moved to the West Coast in the late '90s to study electronic music and sound design at CalArts. It was during this time in L.A. that he would meet Shad T. Scott, who subsequently put out Lusine's self-titled debut on his Isophlux imprint. McIlwain relocated to his current home of Seattle in late 2002 and began steadily releasing his music on Ghostly International. He has also contributed tracks to various compilations and remix releases from Mute, !K7, Kompakt, Asthmatic Kitty, and Shitkatapult.

As Lusine, McIlwain has performed throughout the US and abroad, including sets at London's esteemed Fabric nightclub, Tokyo's Unit, Berlin's Watergate, and Melbourne's Electric Owl. Recent tour dates include appearances with electronic luminaries like Tipper and Blockhead, as well as playing at 2016's Further Future festival with a live drummer (Trent Moorman).

In addition to his Lusine productions, McIlwain has been involved with various film projects that include The Sitter (Jonah Hill, 2011) and two other David Gordon Green movies, Snow Angels (featuring Kate Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell, 2007) and Joe (Nicolas Cage, Tye Sheridan, 2013) with music writing partner David Wingo. McIlwain is also currently collaborating with Wingo on the film score for Meredith Danluck's upcoming State Like Sleep. Following Lusine's acclaimed The Waiting Room from 2013 and 2014's Arterial EP (which was accompanied by a groundbreaking video from Christophe Thockler), comes the new full-length, Sensorimotor, released in March of 2017 on Ghostly International.
