“Under trees and over mountains. Those are the places I want to be reflected in my music.” Patrick Cunningham began the Woadus project with the vision of bringing a natural element to the world of electronic music. Drawing inspiration from folk and world music of all cultures, Woadus evokes a style committed to reconnecting with the earth through music. Channeling the beauty, the power, the provision, and the indifference of our planet and giving it a sound.

Woadus will often venture out into nature to collect audio recordings for his music. “All through history, events of cultural and spiritual importance have taken place out in the wilderness. Deep in a forest, atop the peaks of mountains, on the coast of oceans. There is a power in these places that I try to capture.”

With years of experience playing at several Edmonton venues, releases on DoYu Digital and NVMA Records, several guest features on sub.fm radio as well as CJSW radio’s “What Will the Neighbours Think”, Woadus is now focusing on releasing his debut EP as well as breaking into the western Canada festival scene.

April 27th and 28th, Coal Mine Sound and Konkrete Jungle Mile High proudly welcomed the one and only Khariszma for her debut in the Mile High City with a two night stand at The Black Box. Khariszma is a talented multi-genre DJ whose focus is on the deep, soulful, and bass heavy sounds of the true underground. A champion of independent music labels, she crafts entrancing and seductive blends of D’n’B, Jungle, 140, garage and breaks with an eye on the best of the lesser known non-corporate sounds out there. She's coming from the Bay Area, where she runs CouchFam, a grassroots organization with a Twitch channel supporting the underground bass music scene that works to make bass music and art more accessible to those who may not be able to attend live, in-person events and shows.
Thursday night she joined Khu, Beargod, Snakeblood and PRĀNĀ for the Coal Mine Sound Takeover playing some 140, UKG and Breaks, and then Friday night she threw down some Liquid Jungle alongside Cassien, Borrowed Drums, Adam Hester and PRĀNĀ for the Konkrete Jungle Mile High Takeover.

Mind of Gaia is a musical project that fuses dark, ethereal, and tribal sounds with hard-hitting bass and intricate percussion. Born from a deep passion for travel, cultural exploration, and sonic experimentation, Mind of Gaia reflects a journey through both sound and experience.
The music thrives on simplicity, allowing each element to speak for itself. By embracing minimalism, each track becomes a living entity, evolving as it grows, but never straying too far from the original idea. Hypnotic tribal rhythms blend seamlessly with deep basslines and a heavy percussive focus—drawing inspiration from the artist’s background as a drummer.

Having graced stages at numerous events and festivals across Canada, Mind of Gaia has expanded his reach internationally, performing at festivals in Colombia and Thailand alongside some of the underground electronic scene's most renowned artists.
