Our 18th installment of the mix series is an ode to the slower, yet still just as groovy, tunes that often soundtracked the first few hours of our parties. Staying true to the Ferias sound, the mix bounces between house, disco, jazz and acid, with a few classic remixes thrown in that bring back those vivid opening hours memories.  While the tempo never goes north of 115 bpm, it'll definitely get you grooving as we wait for the day when we can share those pre-midnight, empty dance floor warm-up boogies again. - Sam

Ferias is surrounded by music-heads. We work in the industry, (used to) go dancing too often, spend Sunday mornings in record stores, and fill our messaging threads with the latest jams. Our extended circle shares the same incessant need for musical consumption as we do - It’s rare you’ll find silence around the Ferias duo, for better or worse.

We want to use the platform to display the musical genius of our crew, both on and off the decks, and are ecstatic to present the Ferias mix series in an effort to do just that. Expect new music every couple of weeks, from those who are directly responsible for giving Ferias its distinct sonic flavor.

We discovered the talented artist, Jose Vizcaino through our friends at Seven Villas and Sound Avenue/Crossfade Sounds and have not stopped playing his music since! 

Bio "The Guatemalan producer based in San Francisco has been making tracks nonstop for 14 years. His sound is always evolving, he finds pleasure in making music that's different from what's "Trendy" and his style varies from deep-house to breaks to dub-house, and minimal. He has an ambient/electronic album and a vinyl release on seven villas as well. His track "vicious vision" was released in 2012 by the legendary Fabric London, 100 album compilation mixed by Craig Richards, Terry Francis, and Keith Reilly.

He has worked with many labels including: ubiyu/ seven villas/ fabric/ cervidae recordings/ manjumasi/ nightcolours recordings/ sneaky music/ crossfade sounds.

Combining melodies and the right grooves he manages to create something that's unique and hypnotic."
