For this special anniversary edition of my invite series. I am extremely delighted to welcome Rene Wise on to the show. 

Real name “Andrew Shobeiri” has been making some immense progress within the industry so far. With only 2 years on the professional circuit this talented young artist as managed to do some things only other artists can dream of.

With two outstanding releases on Luke Slaters infamous "Mote Evolver" label, as well as two unforgettable shows at Berlin’s world renounced Berghain. Whilst managing to gain the attention of some the best in the scene. But its well deserved for this passionate producer, Spending hundreds of hours carefully creating his unique sound which is infectious with rhythm and pure groove. His dedication and commitment to the music really speaks for it self. Since his arrival he has managed to maintain and adapt to challenging demand of the industry. In return he has been able to travel internationally showcase his sound as far as South Africa and many others places. 

On this episode i asked Rene about his journey so far and what it’s taken for him to get to the top of his game in such a short period of time. Plus he had contributed a guest mix that will dance you through to the early early hours.

Nørbak is Artur Moreira, born is the late nineties, in the North of Portugal. His devotion into making music begins early in his life, and since then, keeps working in his studio, day after day, discovering and developing his own sound, diving into Ambient, Experimental and mainly Techno. 

It all started in 2016 with labels such and Circular Limited and Illegal Alien, where he gave his first steps and since then he has been releasing his music on respected labels such as PoleGroup, Warm Up Recordings, Semantica, Modularz, Affin, Float Records and his sound has developed throughout these years focusing now more on the mental and physical side of Techno, where he finds the most comfort. 

In 2019 he joins the Portuguese independent collective and label Hayes as an active member, where with his label colleagues he’s pushing the new wave of contemporary Techno. 

With appearances in some respected clubs like Tresor, Lux Fragil, Gare Porto and Family Club he also feels supported by some of the most respected artists in the scene like Oscar Mulero, Jonas Kopp, Svreca, Dasha Rush and more. His future can only be brighter than what it is right now, with so many boundaries to achieve, discover, learn and cross.

A realm of wild darkness and tranquilizing light, Liquid Bloom and TRIBONE’s ‘Interbeing’ explores the inextricably-bound forces of the musical universe through six mystifying tracks drawn from the lands of worldly downtempo, tribal bass, and driving psychedelic electronica.

Inspired by the fast-paced soundscapes of the global dance floor, the original ‘Interbeing’ mix unleashes a barrage of mid-tempo beats overlaid with primal energy and supported by a haunting psychedelic undercurrent that resounds through each track in the EP collection.

Without slowing down, Liquid Bloom and TRIBONE bring additional space to Interbeing’s dark atmospheres with their hypnotic and tactile “Deep Tech Mix,” while producer-duo 'Jakare' provides a tantalizing tribal house remix flavored with additions of charango and pan flute.

Maintaining the psychedelic edge of the original composition, British psybass producer 'Sigil' draws listeners into a twisted breakbeat journey that plunges deeper into the original’s shadowy tones.

Taking a more luminous path, 'Kaya Project' guides his rendition toward uplifting territory with his signature world-fusion style, introducing stirring organic beats, seraphic vocal samples, and a soothing blend of synths and instrumentation to draw out Interbeing’s brighter elements.

We are honored to share with you all, Camel RIders' very 1st VA which is focused on the Latin-American electronic sound - 'Tribu Ancestral' (Compiled by David Madrid).
Tribu Ancestral includes 29 enchanting musical stories that tribute Pre-Columbian and post-colonial tribes across South-Central America; Their traditions, ceremonies, beliefs, day-to-day activities and their vision of life, coated with fine electronic sounds. Tribu Ancestral has been crafted with a futuristic and flexible approach by a beautiful team of artists deriving from 18 different countries on planet earth.
This collection has been gathered by David Madrid, our Colombian member of the family and the co-owner of Skunk TLV, the well-known Downtempo and Organic House party production from Tel Aviv. The Bogota-born audiophile has carefully curated a package of heart-warming yet mysterious melodies that display organic sounds from his continent of birth, accompanied by charming instruments, all layered on a wide selection of electronic genres. From Downtempo to Techno with lots of sub-genres in between, this collection is suited for a wide range of moods and settings. Swedish label When Disco Goes Wrong reaches its fifth release. Curated by local heroes Mindbender and Högt I Tak (SXDNS179), the Brännö-based imprint invited Ruud Kalis aka TantRut for the occasion. Ruud moved from The Netherlands to Berlin about 15 years ago. At that time, he played flamenco guitar and hated his friends when they forced him to join them in their adventures at the local techno clubs. He met a Swedish girl, that later dumped him in Brännö. There he became friends with some local ravers, and he started to understand the true power of electronic music. Long story short: After becoming a quite successful DJ, playing not only in Sweden but also abroad, he finally started producing. For his debut release, the solid original received fancy remixes by Csk (SXDNS088) and the label honchos themselves.

Högt I Tak’s remix, the track we chose to premiere, brings the Swedish wizard in great shape when it comes to providing acid-as-hell interpretations of the works of his best friends. The title of his version for “Closed Centre” – Högt I Tak Acid Is Life Remix – will explain itself when you press play. A tip: The louder you can listen to it, the better.

Bio "The Guatemalan producer based in San Francisco has been making tracks nonstop for 14 years. His sound is always evolving, he finds pleasure in making music that's different from what's "Trendy" and his style varies from deep-house to breaks to dub-house, and minimal. He has an ambient/electronic album and a vinyl release on seven villas as well. His track "vicious vision" was released in 2012 by the legendary Fabric London, 100 album compilation mixed by Craig Richards, Terry Francis, and Keith Reilly.

He has worked with many labels including: ubiyu/ seven villas/ fabric/ cervidae recordings/ manjumasi/ nightcolours recordings/ sneaky music/ crossfade sounds.

Combining melodies and the right grooves he manages to create something that's unique and hypnotic."

Jody Wisternoff & James Grant return for their rework of ‘Metroma’, a fan favourite first heard on Anjunadeep 12. Written by Irish/Swedish duo The Sei, ‘Metroma’ is a story of romance and endlessly dreaming of love.

After Jody and James watched the BBC Drama ‘Normal People’, they “were drawn to this beautiful and melancholic song by The Sei, which appeared in one of the more poignant scenes on the show. We felt it would lend itself to an Anjunadeep style rework and were excited to get the green light to remix it.”
