Shay Da Truth, born Gibraltar White, is an American hip-hop artist. Shay sets himself apart from other acts by using personal experience to help form songs that push the envelope. He can be described by most fans as a very versatile rapper going from slow to fast on almost any instrumental.

Originally from Memphis, TN a bit of Blues influences the feelings of motivation he gives. However, pieces of personality have been drawn from different regions for Shay. Styles from previous residences such as the Bronx in NYC, Baltimore, Florida, Mississippi and even California mix for a new style of music.

"I believe in music, the power of it all," says Da Truth. "It's one of few universal languages."

Keeping the universal aspect alive in his rhymes, Shay's main desire in music is to touch as many lives as possible in any way. He does it through freestyle, battle raps, ballads, and tracks that encourage having a good time.
